I've mostly been worried that the graphics requirements would screw with me, since I'm not sure what optimizations they've done on it. I've run into small developer games that have had insane requirements due to lack of optimization (Magicka, anyone?) so I wasn't sure.
I might try it out later.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Since neither of my computers can effectively run Minecraft, this will be my Minecraft.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Man, I want this game. Like, I really want it.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Got pretty lucky with my single-player world, there's a nice amount of copper and iron around. Setting it to "large" might have been a mistake, didn't think it would decompress the map vertically as well...
Also, what exactly is the monster-spawn logic in this game? My mine's locked up tight and lit up like a Christmas tree and yet somehow I inevitably find myself sharing it with a wave o' zombies and the omnipresent Green Slimes.

just got home, purchased and downloading. :3
find me on steam as Dynamod123 :3!
Add me on skype! Dynamod1990
I'm sure lighting helps, as when I've been caving recently lots of torches less bother, a few and slimes galore.
However there was always something now and again.
Also I've got full copper armour, and over 90 lesser health potions as I dearly lack easily accessible resources bar sand and lesser mushrooms.
I need to sort out port forwarding at some point(tomorrow), once I do I'll host a world for people to look at/develop.
Edit:
Steam thingy is ian_ex_machina

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelBack from school. Time to play. >:D
This, pretty much, although from what I know of both games Terraria actually seems like it's more my thing.

FUCK YOU YOU ANCIENT DELL PIECE OF SHIT COMPUTER

From the videos I've seen, the spawn logic basically means enemies will spawn unless you are in a house. A house is defined by its walls, a back wall, and lighting. Underground it's impossible to stop spawning without making a house. That's what I've seen, anyway.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.@Zudak: Yeah... Same thing happened to EI. If you have the money, you could get a graphics card that could at least run it for around $30. It won't be a powerhouse, but it'll be an improvement.
I'm not sure this thing even has, like, a slot for that. I guess I could crack it open and take a look. Eh, whatevs. I'm gonna be on payroll at school next semester, so I'm probably going to just save up and buy a computer that doesn't suck.
It's not like it's a waste of money or anything, I mean, that thing's just gonna sit there in my Steam account until I has a masheen that can run it.

Love the game...
The interface needs a bit of work. When I access the menu, it gets really cluttered. Also, Needs more iron.
Also, I've managed to find a small silver vein. can't do anything with the single ingot it made, but I have one now! :D

If you see the words "you feel an evil presence watching you" then get ready to fight it.
Also, good news, Terraria is the current top seller on Steam, above Witcher 2, Fable III, and Brink.

I bought the game and installed it...and learned that my Radeon 9250 graphics card is unsuitable for this game...just like it was for Braid...and Super Meat Boy, so until I save up enough for a laptop (which I've been doing for a little while) no Terraria for me.

*pats Barrylocke on the shoulder comfortingly*
@Zudak: Pretty much all computers do. They can't exactly run without a graphics card.
My current loot so far, an iron axe, an iron pick axe, breathing tube, one mana point, one heart crystal, and one iron sword.
