I was waiting for Masterofchaos to respond before continuing with Howell there. Hard to hold a conversation with two people. Harder still if you leave one behind.

Double-posting for newness

Hey Night, I think Thomas was specifically talking to Iris in Masterofchaos's most recent post. I mean, of course Forsythe could answer anyway, however, Iris and Thomas had walked a little ways down the beach away from the robot earlier so they're kind of far away.

Unless Forsythe is there too, and I completely missed something.

Anyway, working on a post starting now.

She's presumably close enough to overhear it and assume she's being addressed, since she's not paying too much attention to anything besides the thing climbing on her Taurus.

All right. I guess I'll leave it up to Masterofchaos, if she wants to respond with Thomas.



In other news, I finished some sketches of Howell just a bit ago (got a proper desk for doing this kind of stuff outside of the infrequent and unreliable time period when I usually do it) and I thought I'd share, since I haven't done a picture reference of the guy since a doodle last October.

So here he is. The drawing at the bottom is essentially how he looks in the thread most recently.


It's MONDO late, so I'm going to sleep now.

Well, my week of break has started, so I'm feeling a little impatient.

Mostly waiting on MoC. I might post before going to bed but I'm stuck on my phone since the internet here decided to stop working for whatever reason and I hate typing on this thing, so don't get your hopes up. EDIT: Scratch that remark, it wasn't down for long.

Haven't done much with the next thread lately due to RL getting in the way. I'll probably get back to working on it over the weekend.

I've already said just about all I've got to say on the new thread until it actually happens, so waiting 'til then. As for the status of the CD Ts, I personally don't have a problem with how they're run now, but I can't deny that activity seems to be slowly dwindling; the fact that we've been running with just one thread for almost two months now speaks to that well enough. I'm not sure what has to change to attract newcomers, so I don't really know what to discuss.

Well, it's not just about attracting newcomers - what I'd really like to hear is thoughts from people who aren't maintaining as regular a posting rate as you are.

Edit: Although, it's worth noting that Archipelago was specifically intended to do the work of two threads.

I'm really sorry that my replies have been a little slower lately. I've been busy with getting college stuff ready, and I've been revamping my book a lot.

That's true. I don't know how well that's working myself, since I've mostly just kept my characters to the "casual" island. Good luck, anyway.

No worries, I know the feeling. Well I sort of know the feeling. I know a feeling that has to do with college stuff, but it may not be remotely the same. Although, if you do think you're going to be busy, or just don't have the energy to write anything, it'd be really cool of you to say so here. That way I don't have to bother about prodding you guys so often.

@Yomegami: I think the new thread sounds great so far, and certainly no pressure.

And things look to be easing up here for a bit, so I'll certainly be able to participate.

Well, since you asked...I first found out about CDT and got in on Character Cruise way back when, but that one fizzled out pretty quickly, which was disappointing. After that, I was busy with school and job searching, so I often forgot about CDT. Even now, I don't spend a huge amount of time on this site anyway, but I'm certainly interested in joining the next thread. Nothing about the operation of said threads has ever turned me off of them.

Posting will be a bit sparse for the next week, sorry.

I just got my first-ever jury duty notice! Ah, the joys of being a grownup! However, I may not have to do it as my classes cut partially through my assigned term and my professors haven't set their exam dates/times in stone yet. Awesome.

Fuck my life.

Sorry about being so sluggish; this weekend's been surprisingly busy and I'm starting to run into writer's block a bit.

I should point out the rope's not on the beach, Sonzai, and is in fact about neck-deep in the water.

I'll probably post for Howell and Iris again today.

@Night: Whoops, sorry if I wan't too clear, but Takuya is standing on the beach, as close as he can get to the rope without actually entering the water.

Also, I've come down with a cold, so posting may be a bit slow. :(

I have no idea if I'll be able to post tonight, apologies.

EDIT: Nevermind, posted anyways. Not sure what you're intending to happen, Blackfire, but if it involves Kunstler turning on the TV and seeing Marla that way, Sam or Azatha might need to do some voodoo to prevent her from waking up and seeing her father outside the TV. Assuming we're paying any attention to continuity.
