Micheal is not speaking as nothing has happened that seems to require his reaction, for the record.

Isn't Vince with "the rest of the table"? I'm confused now. I thought this mirror was a small little palm-sized thing, and Mika is/was holding it.

How'd Michael take an AI trying to get into his systems and/or suddenly appearing in them?

It's doubtful he would have even noticed. (Which is why I didn't comment.) There's nobody for the suit to network with, so it's basically in the mode that Ghost in the Shell describes as "autistic": accept no outside connections, every communications method but speaker and voice radio is power-off. The suit's a black hole as far as any attempt to hack it works at the moment

In the event it comes up with Linna, her suit was never designed to network or to receive information save voice radio, so it's pretty much a lost cause too.

Ah well, there goes that idea.

Killer Clowns, the group of people Mary is talking to are still down below in the escape route. They're near the exit to the surface but they haven't quite reached it yet. So I don't know how she could glance over to Alice with much ease...

How big is it? Because I had thought that Mika would have to be holding it for looking into it to make sense, but Crystal Glacia had pictured something different, so...

You can fit it in your hand. I thought the size was implied by the fact that Jonathan could fit it his waistcoat pocket, but maybe I forgot to mention that this time (the mirror had been used earlier in the thread.)

I figured it was a little hand-held thing... I/we will have to sort this out with Crystal Glacia next time he's around...

I need to get my sleep schedule back on track, so I won't be replying to Mansion until tomorrow.

What else do you need sorted out? (I'm a she.) Not sure how exactly the size changes what's happened so far, and I pictured it being that size as well.

Just a reminder to Elfhunter: The piece of Uffern inside Micheal's body doesn't resemble the knight; it's copying Micheal's form and voice.

On that note: Matues, I'm waiting for a post from you since the situation in the stadium changed quite a bit with the appearance of the knight.

Anyway, I don't think there's much sense in Mika leaving a small mirror like that flat on the table when she's trying to look into it. I didn't explicitly state that she was holding it, but given its size, I figure she would have been.

I suppose it doesn't matter much, though. Handwave.

I'm continually struck by how my characters seem to occupy a middle space in power level in the threads...

I've got very few characters at all that would occupy that space, and maybe one that could be considered on the high scale, and that's only in his home environment.

I'm always surprised by how many people walk around talking about how they (semi-)regularly slay gods. They're basically just big game, at this point. Right alongside bears and moose.

So... how 'bout that next thread, huh?

I believe we last left off still trying to establish a setting for the "mixed" thread, with "temperate forested area" being as far as we got... No real progress on the "hosted" thread, though, so far as I can remember.

The thing that gets me, though, is that they're alone there. You're either a godkiller or a normal/nearly-normal person. The middle ground is oddly empty.

And while I suppose I technically have a godkiller or two myself, they're closer to high-middle with the ability to call a nuclear strike than they are planets with a pinkie.

I think you might be under or over-estimating some of the characters in the thread. Not everyone's either a god/god-killer or average Joe, there's plenty of people in-between.

But of course, this all depends on how you define "the middle ground". If we put Super Weight 6 at the top and 0 at the bottom, then most characters are between 1 and 3, with maybe a couple of 4's around... But then again, by this scale, most of the god-killers are actually 1 or 2's killing 5's a la Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu? ... Huh...
