Get out. Actually, I was born in '93, so I only remember the late 90s.

'91. I remember the 90s, but it blends in with the early 2000s.

The 90s were quite a decade for me. Went to college in '91. Realized I was bisexual. Had my first boyfriend, and then my first girlfriend. Graduated. Got a real, full-time job for the first time. Met my wife online. Got married in '96. Came to the US at the tail end of '97. Became a professional sysadmin rather than doing it as a sideline of being a developer.

A brighter future for a darker age.

How so?

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

Born in 83, the nineties were the best years of my life. Though I did enjoy old shows anyways, having grown up with a daily show dedicated to Looney Tunes.

I enjoyed Batman The Animated Series, Freakazoid, even The Cadillac Cats (I was a sucker for anything with tech or transforming cars), Parker Lewis Cant Lose...

[lol] Morven wins... I was still in Middle School in '91. Ah, Gulf War time.

I remember we went to block schedules my Sophmore year - instead of seven classes a day, you had four - but each clas lasted 90 minutes. What took a year to learn coudl be crammed into a semester. Semester classes got crammed into a quarter. Quarter classes happened eveyr other day. So, in teh end, you still had the same number of credits to earn (more, even), but if you had a free class period, you had over 90 minutes of study, slack, nap or skipping school time.

It was great.

I remember how keen on that war everyone seemed to be. Granted, the kids at my college were largely from Conservative-voting middle-class or upper-class backgrounds, and thus more likely, I think, to be keen on war, but still.

It helped that the case for war was the invasion of a nation by a neighbor who was so obviously a Bad Guy.

Born in 1979...so the 90s were when I got to fuck around as a teenager. Other than the late 60s, there was no better decade for this.

The economy was good, the morals were forgiving and the booze was easy to find. And the girls had the right attitude towards clothing (wear only when necessary, take off when asked). Goth had yet to curdle into "emo", the internet was a curiosity, and cigarettes were two bucks a pack.

I miss those days.
