Blaze and Cream didn't spend much time interacting with other characters in her story either...
Once they met, it was mostly Blaze, Cream, and her mom.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.So how many people want a Big the Cat game, or a Charmy the Bee game? Because I like Big the Cat but I don't think he really needs to turn up again.
These things I get. It just seems like people make a larger noise about Cream than any character prior to her.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Because she rarely gets to do anything; that means people are free to speculate whatever the hell they want about her because she's that minor of a character.
Does the concept of an Ensemble Dark Horse elude you, this is nothing new. Just because she's not talked about as the more popular characters doesn't mean she's ignored.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.So do a lot of characters in Sonic. There are several minor characters who don't so much as appear in the games anymore. Why is Cream special?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Because they're actually aware of her.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.A better question is why does this seem to bother you so much, unless you have some type of issue with Cream in particular.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.People threw a huge fit over Mighty and Ray not being allowed in the IDW comic, despite none of them caring about those two prior to Sonic Mania Plus, especially not Ray.

So then, original point still standing, I admit some apathy toward her character but in light of the line of other characters who at least appeared more significant than Cream did - I'm neither shocked nor terribly wanting Cream to return, and the fascination with her is somewhat confusing.
The replies explaining why she was liked make sense to me even though I disagree with them and the repeated calls for her to return are baffling without that understanding. Maybe that statement can stand on it's own without being drawn and quartered?
The comics are a minefield of fans getting upset because of how nasty the handling of the reboot was and all of the legalities that caused it.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!People like a character and want her to play a significant role...there's not much to understand beyond that.
People tend to have opinions that might differ from yours :V
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Explaining your apathy...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I mean, I want a game where Nack/Fang gets to be a minor antagonist. I know that's not happening.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI don't get why having Cream and Blaze have a scene together would be the worst thing in the world.
Because he likes Amy and Cream better; and obviously that means you can only like one and not the other, because everything is absolute in this world.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'd like for Gemerl to turn up again since he turns into Cream's best friend. I gave up hope on that until he showed up in IDW. More than I expected really.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!x16 Hence why I'm saying that Cream being Amy's "Tails" is something she should be. Not just because both characters are my biggest favorites in the whole franchise, but because there is honest potential in their dynamic, both in interactions and character development for both. The fact that this was never done thanks to Sonic Team's writing incompetency is a huge missed opportunity, and I'd like that to be remedied rather than writing off Amy and Cream's relationship as "not worth it" and making Cream Blaze's sidekick (especially when we got Marine, who would do just as effective a job as Blaze's sidekick)
x15 Very true point...
x11 For me, I'm specifically vocal about Cream because, aside from my personal liking, there was a time when she was one of the central characters. As baffling as that might come off to some of you, as this Tumblr post illustrates [1], Cream received quite a push from Sonic Team, arguably to the point of being the second most prominent of the Modern cast (with Shadow obviously being the first). Cream was even added into Sonic Adventure, a game that predates her by at least four years, via the DX port, and the camera makes sure that you see her when she shows up. Sure, it was a cameo, but no less an example of Cream's prominence back in the mid-2000's
So, of course, I'm more than a tad bitter that Cream went from "arguable fifth main hero of the cast" to a character who's now only appears in freemium mobile games, while the latest racing spinoff saw fit to replace Cream's spot in her established with a group of non-characters. That's even more degrading than Zoroark's own demotion after being pushed as a "bigger" character, and that in itself was the catalyst for me quitting Pokemon (among other reasons). Cream was built up to be something special, but now it feels like Sonic Team are quietly trying to get rid of her. So of course I, and like-minded fans, are trying to prevent that from happening by requesting her to appear in mainstream games again
Could you try not to speak for me? And being snarky about it while you're at it? Yes, I was being hyperbolic there, but I didn't mean to imply that Cream and Blaze interacting with each other is the worst thing. I wouldn't oppose Cream and Blaze's interactions, and their friendship by extension, so long it was balanced out with Cream's own with Amy. But as we've discussed, Cream has only had friendly interactions with Blaze thus far, while interactions with Amy were butchered to say the least, thus I'd rather Cream be given more (and much better) interactions with Amy first and foremost. And my "quitting Sonic" statement was directly in response to the suggestion of Cream officially becoming Blaze's "Tails", which would permanently remove any chance for Cream and Amy's relation to be done justice
-quietly steps out of the room realizing what they walked into-
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Could you at least use names, because I don't even know who you're responding to.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Honestly there's no real reason why anybody besides the main three/four should show up in a game besides "I like this character".
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I didn't suggest Cream be Blaze's Tails.
Blaze fits the Cool Big Sis type more than Amy does, even currently.
It's simple physics.
(Sonic, Tails, & Eggman)

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Well for one, it'd make the games more interesting than the shit we've been getting for the past decade. I'm so tired of Sonic, Tails and Eggman... especially since they're written so dryly now.
Wait, who's number 4? Because it sure as fuck ain't Knuckles.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.@Black Yakuza 94- Very well lol
First arrow was to 'randomness4'. Second arrow was directed to you. Third was directed at Soble. And last one was in response to you, as well as Will Keaton
@Soble- ...Kay then
@randomness4- Ah! Okay, that I can understand. Still, I'd rather Amy be the Cool Big Sis for Cream. Unless you mean Blaze is the Cool Big Sis as a character in general, in which case I won't argue
Idk. While in theory more characters should have more intrigue, I'd rather they not be thrown in just for the sake of it. Then, you get "bloated cast Out of Focus" criticisms like we've had before and with other mediums like RWBY and Bleach.

A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Obviously I want them to actually DO something with an extended cast. Just anything more than what we've gotten please, but asking for things to be competent in this series is like getting teeth pulled.
In an ideal world, the games would shuffle the cast as befitting the theme of the game and what it's trying to convey.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Amy.
And besides, that kinda just ties back into the "I like this character" thing.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."
If you've been in the series for this long, complaining about the series` lack of writing quality is like complaining about the sky being blue. Its just something that's not gonna change unless a major revision is done.
That said, if you want my take. Amy is already a secondary character, so trying to develop a dynamic with another secondary character when they've rarely been the focus of a story is expecting a lot.
Blaze had a leading role in Rush, which ironically let Cream shine more since she wasn't fighting for screentime.
Cream is his favorite character, so he doesn't like how she doesn't get the development she "deserves"
