I myself am not Jewish, but I spent three years of my life living with a Jewish man and spending time with a Jewish family because my mother dated one. I also lived near many Russian Jews. West Hollywood is filled with them. Quite neat. I sadly don't have much experience with Jewish religious services at temple... I do have knowledge of what Passover dinner is like and the many wonderful foods Russian and Israeli (they were Russian-Israeli Jews who moved to the US) Jewish people prepare and eat. HUMMUS AND FALAFEL. I MISS YOU. I MISS YOU TOO FALAFEL FLAVORED BISSLI!!
Now...DESCRIBE TO ME THIS TEMPLE THING.

Well, yeah.
Three-day Jew; I don't practice religion, and the religion I don't practice is Conservative-shading-into-Reform Judaism. But I live right on the border of Munkatcher Hasidim territory and get on mailing lists.

Ashkenazic, vaguely practicing conservative-and-then-reform here. We still light the candles and say the prayers on shabbat, and celebrate the holidays, but we don't really belong to a synagogue anymore. However I, and pretty much everyone in my family is so unmistakably culturally Jewish that I can't consider ourselves "non practicing"
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!Oh, well, culturally, I mean, just look at my handle. Also, I'm planning my approach for a Yiddish translation.
The child is father to the man —OedipusI wish I was Ashkenazi...well, not in Pesach (our food rocks!) but at least you have Yiddish...Ladino is not...as funny as I wish it was
Do I count if I'm wearing the most goyish costume ever for purim?

Let's not get into that. It will only lead to unnecessary arguments.

(Though I wouldn't really describe myself as a troper, since I've done very, very little work around here). (Of course, I am aware that there are non-Jewish Israelis, such as the Arab populace, the Christian populace, et cetera. And it can get more complex)
Sephardic, Ladino-speaking, non-religious.
Culturally, I'm Jewish, but as of late I've stopped following most of the religious practices. :/ I am a baaaaad Jew.
There are less Jews here than I thought there were.
Ashkenazic reform Jewish. Practicing (!).

Two Wong's don't make a white.Your Jews are in another castle.
I want to find out how many of my fellow tropers are also fellow jews, and also what kind of jew (orthodox, conservative, reform, other, ect)
So I guess I should start with myself: I am an orthodox jew and I hope that there are other jewish tropers who will post on this thread.
