And pretty much all my fanfic ideas are about random extras like that. There is something wrong with me.

I'll admit: I've long suppressed an irrational desire to write a Rurouni Kenshin / Deadwood crossover.

Don't tempt me. I might still do it.

Combining the first two would be really tough to wangle without having a Boring Invincible Villain, but throwing in a "Groundhog Day" Loop would certainly help. (Not that I've actually seen Higurashi...)

No Groundhog Day Loops. Death Note and Minority Report - a mixture of the film and literary continuities of both - are central, with Higurashi not joining in until after the setting is established. The plot of Death Note is essentially nothing more than Light and L trying to outthink each other; adding Minority Report into the mixture does nothing more than to give both sides another tool to play with, and a particularly potent one in that setting (Death Notes control how a person will die provided you know their name and face; precogs predict a person's death and provide the target's name and anyone who happens to be nearby), and escalates the Thirty Xanatos Pile Up factor further (making the early appearances of the CIA into a bigger deal by putting them into conflict with the Japanese police as well as Kira).

For instance, unrecognised precogs will be dreaming of Kira's murders a few days before they occur, almost certainly leading to a number of them turning themselves in...

This would send the original plot Off the Rails rather quickly, since Light can't use the original trick he pulled with Ray Penber without being caught, leading to an even more prolonged duel, possibly a bit slower-paced, between the two than in the original story. At the time he dies in the manga and wins Pyrrhically in the film, L is still very much alive but still very much preoccupied with trying to catch Kira.

Higurashi, for reference, ultimately involves a terrorist conspiracy to develop biochemical weaponry using a small village as its unwilling test subjects and then wiping them out; the chief researcher does not learn how his research is being used until it's too late for him, and only one or two survivors of the village remain alive after the fact. Sound familiar? In this case, though, the conspiracy is hijacked by a middle-manager who thinks she can ascend to godhood by causing the worst disaster in human history, making for what sounds to me like an effective foil for both L and Light; L, however, is still busy dealing with Kira, so who better to send than his anticipated successors? And how convenient for Near and Mello that the Hinamizawa investigation is already tied up by conflicts of interest between regional law enforcement and the local Yakuza...

Basically, I think the combined facets of all three settings make for some very interesting aspects to explore.

-To Aru Majutsu No Index/The World God Only Knows, in where Accelerator becomes by accident, well mostly by his stupid ego, the capturer of the runaways spirits. yep He is DOOMED!

-A Xiaolin showdown and Codename: Kids next door in where jack Spycer have dreams of him being part of Knd, but at the same time becomeing insane because he want to knows why he have so strange dreams.

-A Crisis Crossover between Wakfu And Negima, Where Cosmo Elethia win, and Where The plans of Nox go horribly worng causing both worlds Mundus Magicus and The world of Wakfu fussion. xD.

Where the cast of Total Drama plus Ed Edd And Eddy and The tv versions of Horrid Henry and Moody Margret journey to other universes for Total Drama Season Five but with the twist of not only being set in diffrent universes but also giving each team a Super Serum that gives them random abilitys each time it's used

Death Note + Hannah Montana

Hannah's one of the only celebrities unsure on whether to endorse or decry Kira. Light (after seeing how her opinion changes the minds of so many people) tries to rig her death so that she announces support for Kira then gets murdered by anti-kira supporters. Unfortunately he doesn't know her real name and tries to find it out. Near guesses Light's plan and tries to keep Miley's name secret.

F/SN Shirou enters the universe of Fate/Kalied Prisma Illya. He has to keep his identity secret and fulfills a role almost like Tuxedo Mask, only competent. Of course, being Shirou, eventually his identity does come clean. Then wacky hijinks ensue.

Another one where Scoripion steals Kratos’ stuff, Meta Knight merges with Date Masamune, and they join up with a blue-shelled koopa and a very out-of-place [WH 40 K techpriest]] and proceed to try and conquer the multiverse a'la Makai Kingdom. With BecNoir riding atop the Green Drake as the Last boss of the internet.

Also there was one about a crossover between sonic and mass effect that was on this forum earlier…

I actually started writing a fanfic for this. I thought "no, I can totally make this work! I'll include plenty of references to the original Power Rangers series while keeping everyone in character! It'll be brilliant!"
