Velvet: (looks over at Wolf, taking a deep breath before continuing) <So, there we were... At the Giant Chasm... Where it turned out that Dialga wasn't our only problem...>

- Flashback, the Giant Chasm -

- Walking around in the grassy area in the middle of the area, keeping an eye out -

Cyrus! Where are you!? Show yourself!

Velvet: <...?> (whispering) <DS... Please calm down... Something doesn't feel right here...>

Briar Rose: <... Does anyone else feel some really strange vibrations in the ground?>

- I look down at Briar Rose -

Huh? What do you-

- All of a sudden, a large row of thorny vines suddenly burst out of the ground, blocking our route of escape -

W-what!? What is this!?

HotStuff: <... Whoa, how did Dialga do that?>

Wings: <... Dialga didn't do that. Look.>

- We all turn to face the direction Wings is facing, shocked to see Celebi hovering above us. Her eyes white and a psychotic smile on her face -

What!? CELEBI!? HE GOT CELEBI TOO!? But... but... HOW!?

Celebi: (giggles creepily)

Velvet: <...! DS!>

- Velvet pushes me to the ground, just in time to save me from a large thorny vine that just burst out of the ground close to where I had just been standing -

...!

- Celebi giggles creepily again, before me and my entire team have to keep running to avoid several more vines bursting out of the ground due to Celebi's power -

- Flashback End -

Velvet: <... As if having to face one legendary wouldn't have been difficult enough.> (sighs) <We had to face two...>

The Giant Chasm is where the Lapis Claw lies... But I think, only on the surface...

They probably do not know what they guard...

-Hears the latest bit of story-

She went to help Dialga in his rage... And got caught in the storm...

-meanwhile, Sunny is listening to Hatbox tell his story, trying to stifle a laugh-

HotStuff: (stroking her "scarf") <And things quickly went from bad to worse...>

- Flashback, the Giant Chasm -

- DS and her team continue dodging the thorny vines, until one suddenly spawns right in DS' path, grazing her shoulder and tearing up her purple shirt somewhat -

AH!

HotStuff: <DS! NO!>

- Grabbing the spot where I was hit, panting. Suddenly, I hear a familiar voice -

Cyrus: ... How predictable. I knew I would be seeing you here sooner or later.

- I look up, to see Cyrus standing on the cliff to where the entrance to Kyurem's cave is -

... Cyrus...

Cyrus: Tell me, what were you hoping to accomplish by coming here? Did you honestly think you could defeat me?

Well, I've beat you three times before, why shouldn't I be able to do it again?

Cyrus: ... Do you hear yourself? Acting on your emotions like this... I honestly thought you were smarter than that.

Well, at least I'm not afraid of my emotions!

Cyrus: ... You just don't know when to give up, do you?

- Primal Dialga teleports onto the field, roaring towards the skies while Celebi flies over to him, hovering next to him with a creepy smile on her face -

- DS and her team are noticeable intimidated by now -

Cyrus: ... So? Are you still going to fight me, girl?

- I stand there, trying to hide my fear as I fully realize what I have gotten myself into -

HotStuff: <DS? Fleeing might be a good option now...>

- I nod my head slightly, my team immedietly start working on trying to break down the barrier of thorny vines prevent us from escaping through the way we came -

Cyrus: So, now you're trying to escape? (shakes head) Well, I'm not letting you get away. It is time to finish this once and for all.

- Flashback Ends -

Velvet: <... Maybe if we had ran into you guys sooner... Maybe if... she hadn't been alone... Then... None of this would've happened.> (sighs) <Well, too late to change anything now.>

HotStuff: (takes a deep breath, as they prepare to tell what happened next)

So what happened next?

Lanius: -Is trying to reach for one of his keratin blades to stab himself dead, to no avail- <My Arceus, this is torture.>

-The interns and me have moved to Ecruteak temporarily, along with another group of people, to give the citizens there start the recovery process as well as to help gathering back the several specimens and wild inhabitants that have migrated to Rt.44 during the last two days. They're gonna be mad at us that we'll have them come back already To celebrate the surrendering of the Serperior's forces, we are invited to eat some cake-

Random citizen #2 — ...was like WOOOOSH! and BAAAAMMM! when it flew over the sky... — noms.

Random officer #3 — ...at Olivine said she had heard something in the night but only distinguished a trail in the sky when... — noms.

Intern Rodríguez — ...wouldn't have expected; whatever we were doing wasn't going to last that long... — noms.

Random journalist — ...would have had me pay a lot for pictures of that part where the antenna went down. You wouldn't happen to know... — noms.

-Meanwhile I'm taking some cake for Maekrite who is resting besides a couch-

Maekrite (sniffs) — <Yay! cake!>

— Only one portion though... Hmmmm....

-Maekrite waits for the cake pacing around while I think about how would things be going at PEFE, considering that I haven't reported back for three days and all the interns are here too (save for Orenda who is at the Radio Tower)-

Maybe I should call back... but not before this dinner ends, or everyone will get nervous...

-keeps walking through the corridors, trying to find where the refugees are-

HotStuff: (takes off her "scarf", holding it in her hands) <... So, there we were, trying to escape...>

- Flashback, the Giant Chasm -

- Wings, Silvermist, Sparq and Briar Rose continue working on trying to break down the wall, succeeding a little, starting to create a small opening in the wall. Meanwhile, HotStuff, Velvet and I continue dodging the attacks from Celebi -

... I... I-I'm so sorry I got you into this...

HotStuff: (setting some of the vines on fire) <It's okay, DS...>

Velvet: (blasting a vine with psychic) <Yeah, we still love you...>

- While I'm not fully paying attention, a vine manages to grab me, wrapping itself around my waist -

HotStuff: <DS!!!>

- As the vine begins to lift me up, HotStuff attempts to grab hold of my hand to pull me away, all she accomplishes is tearing off the already damaged sleeve to my sweater, as well as pulling my X-transceiver off my wrist -

Velvet: <DS!>

- The rest of the team stop what they are doing for a moment, watching in horror as the vine lifts me up, holding me right in front of Primal Dialga. I stare right at the giant steel dragon in front of me, not saying a word -

Cyrus: ... Well, well... Look at you now. You may have ruined my plans before, but... You will never ruin my plans again. (looks at Primal Dialga) ... Dialga. Destroy her.

- I gasp in shock and my eyes widen, my Pokémon seem pretty shocked as well -

HotStuff: <No... NO!>

- For some reason, even Primal Dialga seems a bit shocked -

- I try to free myself, but too no avail. I realize there is nothing I can do... -

... So, this is how it ends. This is it for me.

Oh, why didn't I listen to my team?

How could I be such an idiot?

- Dialga seems to be hesitating, but I do not notice. I do however, suddenly realize something -

... Wait a minute... Why did I keep my memories, when my Pokémon lost theirs?

And... Not only did I keep my memory, but also my ability to understand the language of Pokémon!

And if I kept that ability, then that means...

- I look over at my team, who are watching in horror, except HotStuff who is trying to figure out how to save me, while clutching the torn off sleeve to my sweater and my X-transceiver tightly, and Wings, who is working on making the opening in the barrier bigger -

... Everyone. I have one last thing to ask of you...

HotStuff: <...! DS!>

Please get out of here now, before he kills you too, and... Go out there and find some help.

HotStuff: <H-help?>

Velvet: <But... Who can possibly help us!?>

HotStuff: (eyes starting to water) <But... But DS...!>

Go! Hurry! Leave me! (bursts into tears) Leave me...

- Reluctantly, HotStuff and the others escape through the hole in the barrier while Dialga is charging his attack -

- They quickly run through the cave, eventually making it back outside, just in time to see a flash of light, presumably from Dialga's attack, and then, all goes quiet -

HotStuff: <... No...> (falls to her knees) <No!> (curls up on the ground and starts crying, the rest of the team standing around her, also clearly saddened by their loss)

- They stay like this for a few minutes. Until... -

Wings: <... Come on. It's time to get going. We're not safe here.>

Velvet: (wiping away some tears) <Y-you're right... We have to find those trainers...>

- The Pokémon look over at HotStuff, the fire monkey meets their eyes, before standing up, holding the X-transceiver and the torn off sleeve in each hand -

HotStuff: <... You're right.> (sniff) <We have to go find those trainers, because... because that is DS' last wish...> (sniff)

- HotStuff puts the X-transceiver on, before putting the sleeve on around her neck as a scarf -

HotStuff: <... Let's go.>

- The six Pokémon begin to walk away, although Briar Rose briefly stops for a moment, looking back at the Giant Chasm with a look of doubt on her face, before rejoining the rest of the team -

- Flashback Ends -

HotStuff: (sniff) <So... That is pretty much it. We spent the next few weeks searching for you guys and... well, we found you.> (sniff)
