"Yeah, you're not the first or last," his partner snarked. "I'm Max and the Lycanroc's Talbain."

At the mention of his name, the Lycanroc shifted in his seat a little towards Des and Lita in the hope of pets.

She has travel time. Besides it's important for a proper magical warrior to make an entrance.

-The magical girl continues fighting, blade and heels trailing excess Obscura-

Monster Hunter Volcano Zone

-The Hunter Pent dismounts his ride and rolls his shoulders as the gate opens to reveal the monster-

-He stands there for a moment as he hoists his large bell-like club thing-

Hunter Pent: Chordmaker materials. Useful.

-He takes a breath and steadies his stance-

Hunter Pent: On your mark, outsiders.

Des hesitates before offering the Lycanroc pets.

Lita: "Time traveler? From the future or the past?"

Stormchaser — Kai's Room

-Brie's knock pattern is copied on the opposite side, before the door opens to reveal a slightly frazzled Frontier Brain smiling from the entrance.-

Kai: Hey there.

Stormchaser

"Future," Max said, as Talbain was too busy appreciating getting pats. "No one that concerns us, but other J-Teamers have had “futurekids” turn up," she explained.

Stormchaser

Lita: "Same, actually -sip- What brought you to this timeline?"

Des: -gives Talbain scritches- "I used to have a puppy to."

Stormchaser, Kai's Room

Brie: Hi!

-Brie's looking better than she usually has. Also, after the last time Kai saw her, when her hair was heavily fried off, she's gotten an actual haircut, and now has a short and still chromatically-ambiguous bob-

-also Kai has a Madrigal attached now-

Brie: How's it been?

<No, we're not from the future,> Talbain explained.

"People just come from there more often than not; we're from the present."

Hearthome Magical Girl Fight

Me: 2B is quite the magical warrior, don'tcha think, Piku-chan?

Piku-chan: <Yeah... she sure is. Maybe you should be out there helping her. Y'know, criss-cross some of your psychic attacks with some of her Obscura attacks and join forces to save the day.>

Me: Y'know, Piku-chan... You might be right. Thanks.

Piku-chan: <No prob. After all, what are friends for?>

-I spring into action to help 2B-

Floette: <You're quite right there, Piku-chan.>

Piku-chan: <Floette! How long have you been here?>

Floette: <A while, actually. I have been watching Ian from a distance, studying how well he takes to his new life as a Magical Boy. This is his first actual Magical Girl Fight, so I plan on taking lots of notes. I'm sure the other contracting Pokémon are studying how the other Magical Girls and Boys take to this as well.>

-Floette looks over at the new Magical Girl-

Floette: <Who's she?>

Piku-chan: <I dunno... I think they call her 2B...>

Floette: <I'd have to assume that this is the Magical Girl Pentigan was waiting on... Her skillfulness with Obscura is stunning to say the least.>

-I try to catch up to 2B, while at the same time, trying to emulate the Obscura sparkles she's letting off with my Psychic Powers-

-Kai just sorta looks at Brie's new haircut in awe.-

Kai: ...Brie. Brie holy shit. You look adorable.

-They grin and hug her tightly.-

Kai: It's been... well, it's been, at least. It's a lot better seeing you, that's for sure.

"So what you're saying is that you're traveling to the future at a rate of one second per second? Cool! So what's your deal?"

Meanwhile, Des continues to give Talbain scritches.

Des: "Who's a good boy?"

Stormchaser, Kai's Room

-Brie goes approximately the shade of red that her hair might be? God it's hard to tell-

Brie: Yeah, I know I do.

-she smirks-

And I should hope so! What've you been up to lately?

Stormchaser

"Or would that mean you're experiencing time twice as fast?" Max asked herself.

Talbain yipped, tail wagging.

Stormchaser — Kai's Room

Kai: Oh, you know. The usual Frontier Brain stuff, jobs with the Aurabolts...

-They pause for a moment.-

Kai: ...I, uh... I've found someone I can trust to help clear Rogue's name. I was just in Kalos today about that, just before I came back here.

Hearthome

The Glitch was expecting Pent to dodge, or do something.

He wasn't expecting a sudden 2B to the face.

This unexpected turn of events staggers him enough for the rest of the hits to land.

The Glitch snarls at the strings, ripping them with ease, before rushing over and attempting to slam Mothra into the ground.

Torna, wilderness

It's not long before the party arrives somwhere interesting.

Unfortunately, that somewhere interesting isn't quite a Mobius base.

It is, however, a large blackened crater.

Standing at its edge is a woman with black hair pulled back into a ponytail, wearing a vaguely military uniform-esque outfit in predominantly black with blue and white accents. It's definitely not Morag's outfit recolored and sans hat. A hand-and-a-half sword sits in a sheathe at her hip.

Next to her is a woman - clearly a Blade by the crystal on her chest - with almost cybernetic-looking draconic features - wings, tail, horns, claws - otherwise wearing something resembling plate armor. She also wears glasses, though thin wireframes as opposed to the fairly blocky glasses her companion wears.

On the other side of the large crater, an astute observer might notice a very unnatural-looking cave entrance.

At the sounds of people approaching, the woman turns to the party, and between her stormcloud-grey eyes and features, two people, at the very least, would find her eerily familiar.

Siobhan?: "You all! This area isn't safe for civilians, Drivers or no. You all should get back to town."

Vi: "How is it weirder to meet the alternate universe counterpart of my girlfriend than myself."

Stormchaser

"I don't think that's how that works? Although I did experience time backwards at an accelerated rate. Anyways, what brought you two to the J-Team?"

Des: -offers Talbain a treat-

Stormchaser, Kai's Room

Brie: ...Oh.

-she blinks a couple times-

...That's good, then. Means you can stop soon, right?

-she smiles-

...Wait, is that a good thing? That's what you wanted, right?

Stormchaser

"Rewinding time or going backwards in the world?" Max asked. "Also, how?"

Talbain bit into the treat, monching it aggressively.

Hearthhome Alleyway

Max and Sunny take a big step back to avoid the crossfire, respectively repelling themselves with sparkles and jets of fire.

??? Jungle Raid

Colton blanched.

"Oh, I'm not sure how it worked but I guess I did have to move backwards in time. Anyways, my question. How'd you come to join our rag tag bunch of heroes?"

Des': "You are a good doggo."

Stormchaser — Kai's Room

-Kai smiles.-

Kai: Yeah. I was planning on retiring the Rogue mantle for a while anyway, and this came at the perfect time. Everything's going to be better.

-They let go from the hug, one hand intertwining with Brie's own.-

Futures Factory — Past

-Rogue looks around at the Neurotoxin Room, and cracks their neck.-

Rogue: All right, first things first, let's block those turret-looking hatches, I've played Portal enough to know where all of this is going. Jack wouldn't happen to have hooked you up with a portal gun, would he have, V?

Torna Wilderness

I didn't expect we'd find an alternate Siobhan this far from our multiverse cluster of all places.

-To Not!Siobhan-

What's so dangerous about it?

"You get wrapped up in one misadventure," Max started. "And within two months you're on the Halloween card. That was almost two years ago," she realized.

Talbain wore a smile, tail wagging, front paws doin’ the tippy taps.

-Vulpecula shakes her head.-

Vulpecula: "Nope. Only guns I have are Ember Celica my currently unnamed shotgun gauntlets and these bad boys right here."

-She flexes and seemingly winks at Rogue, since the left half of her visor slits dim.-

-The flexing is...not super impressive since Vulpecula isn't really buff but it's the thought that counts.-

-Phantom dangles from the ceiling.-

Phantom: "I don't have a grappling hook."

Hearthome City, Glitch Alley - Past

-Lucius frowns at Pent's remark.-

Lucius: So I get that you're excluding me from your definition, but maybe we can save the debate over what constitutes a "proper" magical warrior after we're done dealing with the glitch puppet who's trying to kill us?

-He attempts to hinder the Glitchpuppet by throwing out tendrils to try and bind his arms and legs.-

Orre, Factory Tower - Past

-Gaia smiles at Stranger and Phantom beneath her visor.-

Gaia: All the more reason to acquire a grappling hook and/or jetpack, then.

-She puts a finger to her helmet's comm unit.-

Gaia: Rogue, Vulpecula, what's the situation downstairs?
