This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I'm assuming it will.
Perhaps Logan joins as a sign of good will to both the Four and the world at large.
Everyone knows Logan stabs all the things, but the Four have one of the best reps among the hero community. He'd obviously be expected to play by their rules, and I'm assuming he can do that. I mean, what Logan does may not be very nice, but even he's had his moments where he can be more than stabbity stabbity bub.
There's also his skills as a tracker. Come to think of it, combine Reed's genius, Peter's Spider-Sense, Logan's Super-Senses and Sue's force fields and Invisibility and you got a team that can probably get the drop on basically anyone.
One Strip! One Strip!Miles, Laura, Amadeus and Robbie should team up and form the Newer Fantastic Four.
....
Holy shit. That would actually work.
Miles and Amadeus have worked together before so that wouldn't be an issue, and I think Laura and Robbie are probably easier to work with than Logan and Johnny....it was Johnny during the New FF phase wasn't it?
One Strip! One Strip!Ghost Rider.
I've never gotten smart in my life and I'm not about to start now.
Robbie, Laura, and Amadeus did teamed-up as a homage to the New F4, but with Silk instead of Miles.
When was that?
It was the first arc of the second series of Robbie as Ghost Rider.
It wasn't good, though. They focused so much on the guest characters that Robbie felt like a guest in his own series. This really affected it and the volume only lasted this arc.

Yeah that was a really dumb thing to do for the first arc of a series.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Crusher Hogan
It depends on the writer, but Hogan usually isn't a bad guy.
And it's interesting how Laura has been in two "New Fantastic Four" inspired teams.
It was Danny Ketch, Joe Fixit, Wolverine and Spidey.

Yeah, I just found that out in the other thread.
One Strip! One Strip!I definitely think some OMD connection is likely. PAD stated that the whole Demon Mysterio business was meant to foreshadow the forces of Hell taking an interest in Peter, plus Mephisto's been showing up everywhere lately.

If Kindred is OMD Peter I want all of you to pick up the phone because I fucking called that.
He can't be OMD Peter because he revived Beck before OMD, but it seems likely he was involved in it somehow.
Oh YEAH that is kinda an important fact in favor AGAINST OMD Peter isn't it?
Shit.
Man, what kind of goober would ever believe Kindred was OMD Peter?
sweats nervously
Maybe the One Moment in Time retcons play into this somehow? Is there a chance that Kindred could have been created during the new timeline?

I'm not expecting a full retcon of OMD - Joe is still there, after all - but I could definitely see Peter and MJ getting their memories of it back.
OMD is such a strange storyline, as it’s written solely as a way to retcon the marriage, and doesn't really try to justify itself as anything else, since it would all be retconned anyway.
Mephisto is basically a stand in everyone at Marvel who didn't like the marriage, and it's all incredibly inconsistent and nonsensical because it was not supposed to be addressed again.

To me the weirdest take away from OMD is that it solidified Mary Jane as Peter's True Love. Ever since MJ's first appearance way back in the 60s everyone liked her more than any other love interest, then when she and Peter got married the writers did everything in their power to systematically destroy it to bring back Swingin' Single Peter to the point of unironically trying to reveal the Peter we've been reading about since the 70s was a fake in Clone Saga and nobody on board had a problem with it, and finally capping it off by having Satan show up to abort Spider-Man's daughter and again, no one writing objected to putting this out.
You'd think having MJ getting tired and frustrated of Peter risking his life or her being targeted by villains would be a natural reason for her to stay away from him, but instead every time she peaces out the fanbase riots at this Character Derailment, that she'd never leave Peter because they love each other that much. Slott gave it the old college try by introducing Carlie Cooper but even he realized the inherent futility of trying to replace the second most important romance in comic books, which further undermines the futility of undoing the marriage: Peter can never be in a lasting or meaningful relationship again because if you try to make it serious Satan will show up so Spider-Man can throw her away again.

Who are you counting as most important and third most romances in comics?
Edited by Bocaj on Jan 16th 2020 at 3:13:38 PM
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI would assume Gwen is one of those, even if MJ completely buried her in terms of popularity.
One Strip! One Strip!Clark and Lois, always and forever. I understand why the suits don't want Spider-Man to be a married man let alone a father, but for Superman it was never not going to be Lois. Embracing that and finally giving them a son lead to a new and exciting status quo that should have lasted from now on, but it's clear that the people writing Superman and the fans of the character aren't simpatico.
Third... I'll get back to you on that. I don't think I have a third one.
I'm not sure if the FF would trust Wolverine anymore since he's explicitly pro-Krakoa, but perhaps something in the X-Men/FF crossover changes their opinion.
