This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I liked that MJ regretted sending Peter away in that last panel we see of her...of course, anything that happens from here on out is kind of her fault for suggesting Peter leave through the window, triggering Norman's curiosity
I like that Jonah, as well-intentioned as he was trying to do, accidentally triggered Norman's repressed memories by bringing up Gwen Stacy. That's what caused Norman to put two-and-two together, because prior to that he was struggling to fill the gap in his memories.
Man, I wish Norman Osbourne was dead again.
His return was the worst part of the Clone Saga.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Really? That's the worst part of a saga which brought us the phrase "maximum cloneage?'"
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Slott just had to give peter and mj fans one last middle fonger didnt he. The whole reason peter was even over there qas to pick up clothes mj saved for him after he took them off to save people
Absolutely, that's the part that stuck around
Norman Osbourne's return brought us:
- Gwen Stacy and Norman Osbourne has children together
- Norman Osbourne as Head of HAMMER
- The killing of Spiderbaby
- Aunt May's return
- His dominance over all of S Piderman's plots
And countless other warpings.
SO that's my view/

The Protomen enhanced my life.Osborn was pretty awesome in Spectacular too of course.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Mayday didn't die
Kaine is raising her in secret. Even when he's been dead or spending his time complaining about living in Texas
She'll come back one day! When the Spider books are in their darkest hour she'll return to us!
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI thought Wordof God was that OMD erased the pregnancy? Granted, this is assuming that's not retconned later on...
Look clearly god can't be trusted when he's saying things counter to what I like
Forever liveblogging the AvengersGod once told me I was five foot tall pink platypus named Bernie who liked to play monopoly all day.
Didn't really feel like I'd win that argument so I just rolled with it
Yup. And those are worth every bad Clone Saga nonsense.
And let's not forget that Norman's continuous state of death brought endless dumbass pretenders, out of which only the first Hobgoblin(Kingsley) provided any kind of decency. But Norman's return finally ended the endless stream of Hamiltons and Macendales and fucking Demogoblin. All those bland pathetic worthless pretenders were all stamped to a deserving death when Norman came back.
Him and his son are Spidey's only personal villains. Ock was never personal(hell, Ock didn't have ANY coherent characterization besides "blah blah evil mad scientist blah" all the way until Superior), neither was Venom(no matter how much the 90s stories pretended otherwise). The idiotic retcon to his knowledge of Spidey's identity lessened that somewhat and sent him adrift... but now, finally, he's back.

Bringing back Norman was one of the best ideas.
One of my favorite Norman stories is Spectacular Spider-Man issue 250 where he buys the Daily Bugle, and than gets Spider-Man mad enough to beat the shit out of him only for Spider-Man to realize that Norman had camera's filming him.

Yeeeeah, that was delightful. So much beautiful snide trolling.
Again, no other Spidey villain can provide that. Spidey quips at Ock, quips at Venom, but only a Goblin can quip back.
Haven't read that issue, but that sounds incredibly stupid and unlike Peter. Wait, his Spider sense would make that impossible anyway.
How often do writers get the Spider-Sense right?
Wake me up at your own risk.How...?
"Oh no, beating this guy will make me look bad" is not a thing that spider-sense ever registered even at its dumbest.
Um, the whole 'Spider sense let's him know when being watched/recorded' one of the staple powers of it that prevented people from getting pictures of him or finding his identity
When he was physically watched and his identity was at stake, that it did register.
Neither of those apply here.
And also when he was being watched by camera it registered.
I don't think saying his identity must be at stake to trigger it makes any more sense, that is a really specific trigger and if it can know to protect him from that then it makes just as much sense to protect him from being made to look bad.
x2 Of all the coincidences...
In other news: while I don't know the reputation this site has on these forums, the Spider-Man Crawlspace is interviewing Paul Soles, the actor who played Peter Parker in the '67 animated series, live on YouTube this Saturday at 3 p.m. central time.
You can ask him questions by either posting them to the message boards or during the broadcast. I thought it was something people would be interested in.
