Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.

Sup, Arthur from Exotic Ventures here. Why? Spite and boredom, I guess. Here to ramble about the occasional EV project, cause well... We recently initiated first contact with a new civilization, and there's like a thousand different ethnic groups all in conflict with each other, with powerful weapons, and we're not sure if we can give PSAs or progress updates about our work like we can with more peaceful civilizations to everyone at once, or if they'll assume that we're under the hood with one particular group and everyone else will hate us. So yeah, I'm here to ramble.
Anyways, you folks are experiencing solar flares? Yeah, I can agree, those can seriously impact interstellar traffic. Not fun.

We were on this thread before, Icarus specifically was and talked a lot about EV already. We're humans - mentally, at least, arguably - who were fortunate enough to upload ourselves to a server network before a global ecological crisis (not climate change) wiped out the "natural" humans. Nowadays, I work onboard a command spaceship, the SS Nomad (which doesn't fly around for resources in the local galaxy nearly as much, because we ship in stuff from other universes), do maintenance, research, and as of recently, investigative journalism. EV has its own newspaper that it publishes in universes that it serves, and I work for it.
Sooo yeah, that's me. What about you folks? I see some familiar faces with the Toons.

Well it has been cool tonight, there's probably no real need to worry about temperature for the moment.
Even considering the solar storm possibility, it doesn't cause too much in the way of actual heat. aroo.
Hopefully our friend on Earth Tanpopo and her friends and family will be okay while that goes on.

Xbox One is already odd when you consider what most people call the first one when 360 came out but Xbox Series X? Where did they get that name idea from?
Yes, I got nothing really against them but it would be nice if they stuck with a common pattern with names like the other two do. The new gen is coming so fast.
