Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.
Ugh I can't believe I had to deal with a heatstroke in winter, how lame is that? Also, did I hear about dissecting humans?
Just goes to show you to be safe about your temperature levels all year round! That bit about dissecting humans sounds horrifying! aroo.
At least you didn't have a fever Momotchi. I don't even think I'd be comfortable with dissecting a frog.

Meet the Tamas!◊ I've come to retrieve my power.Yeah, it honestly was pretty disgusting. I'm still not sure why biology was a core class and not an elective.
After searching up what MRI scans are, I do agree that would have made things easier. But remember that our Earth is still in it's late 19th century AD. That kind of technology is futuristic.
(Mad!) . . . Actually, now that I think of it, we could probably make an MRI scanner right here in our workshop! I'll have to tell Wulfenbach about that idea — we could actually save lives with this kind of technology! Thanks for the idea, Penny!

"That was a pointless encounter with a pointless person."
I am concerned. It appears as though Sturmvoraus has been whisked away to young Wulfenbach's lab! I must make sure nothing villainous is going on!
Oh— What's this? They're making a machine, and it appears the machine will allow them to look at peoples' insides without cutting them open. Nothing harmful to any unsuspecting innocents! False alarm!
. . . Now that I think of it —
(Mad!) — Such a machine would do a lot of good, would it not?
(Mad!) And they might want some help, too! I may as well do something enjoyable for a little while! Why not?
(Mad!) Sturmvoraus! Wulfenbach! Wait for me! I have so many things to contribute to your scientific endeavors!
Ah, I had almost forgotten how much I love watching this sort of stuff unfold.

This device that I am using has defined "dissection" as "taking apart a creature to study it." That would be very difficult where I am. Especially not in the eighth L—!!
Hold on for one moment.
ZeeTeeL8 has left.
*Flash!*
ZeeTeeL7 has joined.
This. Should help my predicament the slightest. (And perhaps it will help the Princess too.)

Just finking about it makes me a widdle queasy...
Meet the Tamas!◊ I've come to retrieve my power.
An update on the machine situation: there appears to be a kerfuffle going on.
(Mad!) —We don't need a beer tap in a magnetic resonance imaging scanner!
(Mad!) Technically we don't even "need" a scanner at all, but that's no reason to stop building one, is it!?
(Mad!) No, but we're building the scanner because it'll make the world a better place!
(Mad!) Exactly! And beer makes the world better, too!
(Mad!) Wulfenbach, I swear—

Putting beer in an MRI is a terrible idea and yet simultaneously the funniest thing I have ever heard. I love it, and highly encourage the implementation of this feature.
“You carry the aura of the stars, interesting...”Erm, doesn't beer contain alcohol? I thought alcohol was for cleaning cloth.

Well, that’s what I invariably use it for, because I’m not of legal age, but I’m pretty sure in this context we’re talking about drinking alcohol, rather than cleaning alcohol.
“You carry the aura of the stars, interesting...”
Just woke up in my school's infirmary. I had a nightmare of being dissected, again. This time the dream took place in one of those abandoned hospitals. I could see my own organs being removed, and I could feel everything. The nurse working nearby was able to calm me down when she saw me waking up screaming. She thinks I'm okay and that my sanity hasn't completely broken, so I will be good to leave as soon as some friends come over to pick me up.
Really sorry to hear about what happened. I'm glad you're okay, Marnie. In a few days it'll be as if nothing happened. Regarding drinks, I usually drink fruit juice, and beer is definitely off limits for me and my friends.
Get well soon, Marnie. We all have nightmares that scare us from time to time. For me, I think plain fresh water is a satisfactory drink most of the time.

"I usually specialize in Dragon-types, but now I'm a fairy and specialize in Fairy-types. See the irony?" - IrisWell it could have been worse.
You could have been eaten. Alive.

"That was a pointless encounter with a pointless person."
Yeah, I had a nightmare of being constricted and eaten by a wild Arbok. It was horrifying, I could actually see the stomach acid inside of the Arbok. Though the Arbok in my dream happened to be much larger than the domesticated ones I've seen. Still, death by slow constriction and then stomach acid can't be fun at all.
I remember having a similar nightmare once of being eaten alive by a giant sea anemone. Think being grasped by stinging tentacles is agonizing? How about being dragged into the anemone's mouth and then melted by the acontial filaments within the gastrovascular cavity? It would be a very painful way to die. Thank goodness there aren't giant sea anemones in reality.
Being mauled alive by hungry Lycanroc I think would be just as horrific of a death if not worse. Though I recently caught a Dusk Form Lycanroc, and he happens to be very friendly, so that kind of dampens the scariness of that thought.
The Sarlacc must be the one creature that inflicts the most painful death on its prey, if I'm not mistaken. A Fate Worse than Death by being kept alive and drained for years on end is terrifying to think about. Thank goodness it's fictional in my world... I think.
"I usually specialize in Dragon-types, but now I'm a fairy and specialize in Fairy-types. See the irony?" - Iris
For a long time in Sumeru, adults didn't dream. Once you hit a certain age, You just don't dream anymore. And it was considered a good thing! The Akademiya said that not dreaming was a sign of rationality. But no. They were just harvesting the dreams for the god-creation plan.
“You carry the aura of the stars, interesting...”[1] Yikes, what do you think is the root to these unnerving dreams.
My dreams are often good ones, I rarely get nightmares. I usually think positive thoughts before sleeping, maybe that might help.
Meet the Tamas!◊ I've come to retrieve my power.
Maybe the reason we have these nightmares might be just bad luck, or it could be that we just love scary things too much (like horror movies) and that somehow creeps up into our sleep.
That seems plausible, actually. Maybe it's good to watch lighthearted rom-coms once in a while.
It's always good to mix things up a bit and not stay too focused on the same things for too long.
"I usually specialize in Dragon-types, but now I'm a fairy and specialize in Fairy-types. See the irony?" - Iris: Poyo! (My dreams have a sweet cozy vibe in them, so when I wake up, I'll feel like I had a wonderful dream!)
"Her grace and speed are quite impressive, so the rest of the pack think of her as an idol. She has lots of fans!"
Just woke up. Had a much better dream last night of spending time with my Pokemon in a cool, temperate forest. In that dream, my Morpeko found a lot of berries near a beautiful waterfall.
That's nice to hear. Glad the nightmares stopped. I always liked forests, though I'm more of a fan of tropical rainforests than the cooler temperate forests due to the greater diversity of wildlife in the former.
To be honest, temperate forests have a lot of different wildlife as well. I kind of miss them because they have creatures that are also not found anywhere else.
Hey, Itsuka Kendo chiming in. I think all natural biomes have their own unique creatures and lots of biodiversity in general. I think taiga forests are underrated and they and the wildlife that live there can be just as beautiful as the tropical rainforests and their wildlife.
"I usually specialize in Dragon-types, but now I'm a fairy and specialize in Fairy-types. See the irony?" - IrisGood morning, nice to hear about a good dream! I never thought about the major differences between tropical rainforests and cooler temperate forests until now.
As they say, things that are similar still can hold a lot of differences sis. I wouldn't mind visiting a taiga one day.
Meet the Tamas!◊ I've come to retrieve my power.
Ugh. I had a nightmare about Wulfenbach putting someone through the machine we built while he was drunk. Good thing it was just a dream.
Wow, last night was fun! Hey, should we help Seffie out of the MRI thingy? She's having trouble getting out.
. . . I am lost for explitives.
Is that so? That does sound like the Akademiya, from what we've been told. Are they normally that tyrannical? Because after enough incidents like this, you'd expect someone to try overthrowing them for all the stuff of that sort that they do to people.
Please visit the "AITA" forum game
They did get overthrown. By me and a few friends. The Akademiya as a school still stands, but we’re trying to reform the administrative side of it. Four of the six Sages were corrupt, so we’re working on finding new ones. Alhaitham was a shoo-in for Haravatat’s Sage, but he declined taking the position permanently.

“You carry the aura of the stars, interesting...”
Sometimes there can be a lot of corrupt officials in a lot of institutions. My school back at home was one of them. Glad that's not the case anymore.
My school never had any corrupt teachers or staff, so that's a plus.
Making positive changes in every place is always good.
"I usually specialize in Dragon-types, but now I'm a fairy and specialize in Fairy-types. See the irony?" - IrisHeureusement pour nous, we never had to deal any corrupt teachers either.
Not that they got much attention in our cartoon to begin with babe.
Meet the Tamas!◊ I've come to retrieve my power. Hey Phos - I know it's late, but I just realized you were planning to introduce me to Kongo-sensei last saturday xP
Then again, if he's odd around humans, maybe that was for the better...
