TMA: Man, you're half as stressed-out as me, and you're a senior, too (or are you in college?).

But in any case, I think it's kind of unfair to compare the neuroticism of a fifteen-year-old to people with actual responsibilities.

I'm 18, and my current college subject is... culinary management. I am currently maintaining a position as an assistant instructor at my Tae-kwon-do/Muay-Thai-Do school.

Yeah, I don't have all that much to be stressed over; though most everyone here is a young nerd as well, so....

Of course, everyone seems to have a large helping of wangst, so that might explain it.

I don't think it's fair to write off everybody else's upset as "wangst" when they're not people you've actually met. Particularly not when you yourself are quite carefree, which I think can make one start to forget just how unpleasant one can feel after a while.

Now, me, I wangst all the time. Still, though.

"Not carefree"?

Hehe; if you met me, you'd swear someone was giving me back rub. Someone could be bringing hell, fire and brimstone on me and I'll just sit there in complete tranquility wondering why they decided it was worth being upset over. Although, I'm not sure if this is "carefree", or something more along the lines of "willing ignorance" or "not caring at all" or even "jerk-ish".

I could be in a massive hurry and yet hobble along in total relaxation, like I'm on vacation. No stress here.

That said, I suppose it is rather cheap to dismiss the volumes of troubles that most tropers have as "wangst", given the massive amount of family troubles that seem present. I recall that one theory for the disproportionate number of tropers with serious difficulties was simply that they are more drawn here.

I'll just have to count myself lucky then. Oddly though, I have family troubles to a certain extent myself, but it doesn't bug in the slightest; I even find it interesting, and look upon fights and think of them as such a Silly Reason for War. I'm pretty weird. Did father just drop a cluster F bomb on my mother? Pfft, happens all the time. -resumes watching Yumeiro Patissiere- (if they get too loud though, I knock on the wall request quieter yelling).

The problems with these "I see myself as x to y" tests is that you have difficulty judging an overall trend in behaviour. I'm x in some contexts or around some groups, and I'm y in other contexts/groups.

I know what you said, sugar, but 'platonic' still entails a world of ideas.

The only reason I have such a low neuroticism is because I have such a good life, really. I am definitely very lucky. It remains to be seen how I'll handle it when I go to college, or even when I become an upper-classman and start taking more and more difficult classes.

Heh — personality-wise I'm actually much like TMA, but fairly high neuroticism still makes sense because my own mind is a confusing, confusing place. I sometimes worry that I spend too much time thinking about whether I'm self-obsessed or not.

I have devised a most marvelous signature, which this signature line is too narrow to contain.

Openness 81% intellectually curious and appreciative of what you consider beautiful, no matter what others think. You might say that your imagination is vivid and makes you more creative than many others.

Conscientiousness 20% impulsive and whimsical, and fine with it! From your responses it appears that you would say that sometimes decisions need to be made quickly, and that you make them quicker than most! You would say you are zany, colourful, and just generally great fun to be with... as long as someone isn't relying on you to get some work done.

Extraversion 39% From the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who is quiet and somewhat withdrawn. Your answers describe you as someone who doesn't need lots of other people around to have fun, and can sometimes find that people are tiring.

Agreeableness 19% you seem to describe yourself as someone who is willing to make difficult decisions when necessary, and will point out when something is wrong no matter what other people might feel. Your responses suggest that you would say that you can be tough and uncompromising.

Neuroticism 48% you seem to describe yourself as someone who is generally calm. Based on your responses, you come across as someone who can feel emotional or stressed out by some experiences, however your feelings tend to be warranted by the situation.

The only one there I'd say isn't really descriptive of me is conscientiosness. I consider myself none of those things. Albeit the poor work ethic part is true.

Openness: 78% From the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who is intellectually curious and appreciative of what you consider beautiful, no matter what others think. You might say that your imagination is vivid and makes you more creative than many others.

Conscientiousness: 38% rom the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who is impulsive and whimsical, and fine with it! From your responses it appears that you would say that sometimes decisions need to be made quickly, and that you make them quicker than most! You would say you are zany, colourful, and just generally great fun to be with... as long as someone isn't relying on you to get some work done.

Extroversion: 48% rom the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who prefers low-key social occasions, with a few close friends. You might say that it's not that you are afraid of large parties; they're just not that fun for you.

Agreeableness: 51% From the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who people can find difficult to get along with when you first meet, as you can be suspicious of their motives. Your responses suggest that over time though people warm to you, and you to them, although that doesn't stop you telling them "how it is".

Neuroticism: 74% From the way you answered the questions, you seem to describe yourself as someone who tends to be more self-conscious than many. Based on your responses, you come across as someone who can find it hard to not get caught up by anxious or stressful situations. You might say that you are in touch with your own feelings.

Neuroticism is way down for what it used to be, like...it was 90%, extroversion is higher, the rest, mostly the same.

No, you really wouldn't want to be me. I've got horrible akrasia and because I have too much of a zen attitude I can't find good ways to raise my conscientiousness to actually achieve something useful.

But if you want to know the secret, I could say that some kind of twisted perspective has something to do with it but I'm not sure others would be able to imitate the positive results that way. Everyday problems are pretty trivial when diluted by approximately 7 billion in the global scale and I'm too misanthropic and uninfluential to be honestly worried about global problems. I have internalised the perspective well but not the result of continued akrasia which means that while I know that the state is not sustainable in the long term I'm currently too emotionally detached to muster the willpower to change. I have symptoms of Social Anxiety Disorder but I can't get anything done about it and resort to simply avoiding bothersome social interaction instead. There might also be some schizoid tendencies as to why I'm able to take it so well.

So numbers don't really tell everything. It doesn't suck per se but on an intellectual level I know this state is not desirable.
