Better than me. I've read the RBG, Yellow, and FRLG arcs but none of the arcs between Yellow and FRLG or after FRLG.
Caught bits and pieces of different arcs here and there.
Mainly read summaries on Serebii.Net for the most part.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm thinking of skipping BW - XY and going straight to SM. I wanna see manga!Lillie in all her troubled glory (though I don't like Sun from what I've seen of him).
From what I've heard, the BW 2 arc was never actually finished. It's been post-poned? That's not good, if true. You can't advertise a game that's nearly a decade old.
One of the problems with the series seems to be that it can't play catch-up with the games. Will they even have a Let's Go arc? I doubt it. I've heard some people say they could do a short arc about Yellow, but would that work? Do the target audience even know who Yellow is?
It was easier during early 2000s, especially at the peak of Gen IV. But once Game Freak started diverting from the usual formula of two games plus third version (with additional remakes), we see problems starting becoming more frequent. Especially when Game Freak is pressured by Nintendo to put out games for their new consoles or Game Freak's desire to line up with an anniversary.
You may notice that the Best Wishes anime also started to have pacing problems. But instead of Schedule Slip, it's rushed and wrapped up with a filler cruise tour with only one hook to the sequel series.
Does Nintendo pressure GF? I've never heard of that. It's always seemed like they go on their own pace. They release two games, then maybe a remake, and then a third game/sequel.
I expect Unova to wrap up whenever we get remakes for those games.
Well, that was more of a hearsay now that I think about it. What is known is that Pokémon X and Y has been in development since 2009 at the very least, taking about 3.5 years to develop and be released. Game Freak was among the first companies to have a 3DS development kit. And it was implied by an Iwata Interview that if Game Freak were to be making a new set of Pokémon games for the DS, it has be quite new. Remember, it's a hearsay thing.
But regarding the other instances, we can see that Game Freak is quite willingly to push the surprise factor for the gamers. They knowingly broke the pattern of how they usually make Pokémon games per generation. XY never saw a Pokémon Z; Sun & Moon got a Pokémon Yellow Remake with no Diamond and Pearl; Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon are Alternate Continuity rather than sequels. The pattern has virtually broke down.
Thus we see Pokémon Adventures and the Pokémon Anime struggle to keep up with the changes that Game Freak made on a whim these past few years. There's even an interview from Kusaka and Yamamoto of how different their creative freedom was compared to the past.
Currently right now, Kusaka and Yamamoto has stated that Sun and Moon are probably the most difficult game adaptations they've ever faced due to it's more "cold plot", probably referencing that Sun and Moon's story-line is seen as one of the more developed but also darker story-lines of the Pokemon series. Due to BW 2's hiatus, Pokemon Let's Go games and the introduction of Pokemon 8th Gen soon, the writer and artist has a tight schedule to meet for Sun and Moon. Yamamoto stated that "every new Pokemon saga is difficult in terms of transforming the video game content into manga. In my personal case, I have to face the situation of 'I'm so sleepy but I can't sleep now because I have to deliver this work soon.' It's my creative strength. (laughs) I love drawing, but sometimes I can't put everything I want on paper because of the short amount of time, and that can make me suffer."
How is Adventures adapting USUM anyway? Its interpretation of Lusamine is at odds wifh SM's.
Just to say, regardless of how the writer is actually doing it:
From the (very) little I've seen, Spe!Lusamine looks to be at the Big Bad end of the Sliding Scale of Antagonist Vileness, as opposed to Vanilla! or Ultra!Lusamine.note
But I would not find such a portrayal to be inconsistent with what would happen in USUM; quite the opposite actually: I can see a Lusamine who abuses her children to be a Lusamine with ambitions of using the Ultra Beasts to Take Over the World, effectively making her a direct rival to Giovanni, and potentially making Rainbow Rocket the "Bad" of The Good, the Bad, and the Evil. Then again, before Giovanni can deploy to Alola, Necrozma would likely teach Lusamine that Evil Is Not a Toy.

A question from the IP thread for Meaningful Echo: Which volume of Adventures is the image from?
It's from volume 3.
Will get a kick out of the protagonists being referred to as Sword and Shield when that starts up. Or they go the Blake/Whitley and Lack-Two/Whi-Two route.

Maybe they'll do like X and Y, where their names sound vaguely name-like in Japanese. It'd be easier if the manga explained away the "weirder" names as just being nicknames. I know the English translations named X and Y "Xavier" and "Yvone", which works so much better than just "X" and "Y".
Since Nintendo has collected several of the older Zelda Manga stories into new editions I wonder if they’ll do the same for Adventures
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price. My first thought when I saw this is... "What if she's right? If she's right, then cue the Wily Capsule musics".
My second thought was: "Darn it, Poke!Spe! Why didn't you go the full measure and have Lusamine fuse with Necrozma? You could've outdone Season 19 of the anime and retaken the throne!"
I wonder if they could revitalize DPA and put it into volumes while they're at it. If they're selling manga for 20 year old games, a 10 year old game shouldn't be that off.
I wonder how Sword and Shield will be done in Adventures.
The Protomen enhanced my life.As of today may 23 2019 black is out of the stone and has reunited with white after almost 5 years
Spoilers!
But, seriously, the B2W2 arc is finally wrapping up after 2 Gens?
It seems to take a while to finish the arcs.
I mean, quite a few of the comics didn't end during the Gen's they coincided with.
One Strip! One Strip! Please give us complete Kyurem of some sort.
Does anyone have pictures of Black's return? I sometimes wonder how the Adventures fans even know about these events, especially if they don't live in Japan.

I... have not heard about this. That's amazing, I can't wait.
Either way, I haven't read past early B 2 W 2 cuz I just... haven't felt like reading it, but this is awesome nonetheless.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*
