The fact that we haven't heard any new about Metroid Prime 4 in so long now has me wondering if it was moved over from the Switch to it's successor.
Remember, it COMPLETELY restarted development.
Surprised we heard nothing about Metroid Prime 4, but insane that they just shadow dropped Prime Remastered.
That's our Prime 4 news. Means it's at least trucking along if there's internal interest in the series.
Man, last Nintendo Direct was 40% farming simulators and this one's 40% re-releases.
I'm not necessarily complaining mind. I like farming simulators and re-releases.
Anyways, wondering if I should plug Prime in again. Last I checked I was stuck on the Omega Pirate in my Wii U copy of Trilogy.
I held out for 30 minutes.
I literally have my Wii and my copy of the original on my desk. -.-
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerThis move does not surprise me, Brioche. I assume you'll be streaming it?
I might at some point, but I've already streamed the original, and I'm committed to finishing Pathfinder: Kingmaker before I stream anything else.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerDoes anyone know if Prime Remaster runs at 60fps? I think the original ran at 60 and was curious.

How do you unlock the Metroid Fusion costume, if it is retained, in this remaster? Is it just beat the game once?
I doubt we'll need to link up the GBA link cable or connect it to our NSO Expansion pack subscription to hook it up with the not-yet-released Fusion. Or the coins from the Wii re-release.
Surprised to see reviews popping up so quickly, especially given that it was just released today.
Damn, I forgot how good the motion controls feel on Prime. Why don't more FPS's have this on Switch?
(checks Borderlands copy)
...Oh, they do. They're just nowhere near as good.
One thing I like is that Meta Ridley now truly looks like a cyborg rather than just Ridley covered in metal, which the Gamecube graphics really didn't help. At least I can see the purple skin now.
Wait, it's already out?
Downloading it RN actually.
Hyped.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Yeah, it released immediately after the Direct on the eShop. If you want a physical copy, you're waiting until Feb 22nd or March 3rd, depending on where you are. I have a steelbook of the Trilogy a meter away from me, but I'm seriously considering picking up this tomorrow myself. It looks so good.

I'm curious about the list of changes other than the graphical overhaul and new control schemes. If any.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! There's now extra content, including concept art and 3D figures, that you can unlock as you play. You can also unlock the music tracks.

Its biggest advantage over Trilogy is of course the return of the original menu and the original menu music.
Advantages that... honestly are kinda undermined by the Switch itself.
Like, okay, back in the 2000s I was hearing that music every day as I boot the game up. And it was hype. Now? I'm probably going to hear it once or twice before the game is over.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I'm going to have a panic attack every time I boot it up, because it's been my ringtone for over a decade now.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerWow they did change Meta Ridley to make him look more like Proteus Ridley/Meta Ridley from Smash.
I kinda wish they didn't do that since the more cybernetic design of Proteus Ridley indicated to me that he was actually well recovered from being entirely reliant on his cybernetic armor.
Like it was like Darth Vader, Ridley had to be entirely encased in armor to even more around thanks to getting blown up by Samus.

Hearing the remaster is only $40. I might double dip to play it now and pick up the physical version later.
