My browser said it's Swedish but I did not ask for a translation.
Um... it's not Swedish. I've got enough Stand Still, Stay Silent, Afrikaans and German under my belt to spot that, even if I can't fully understand the language. :/
Heck, these days, I've got a good chance of spotting Finnish or Estonian.

It's got some words that are similar to Russian (i.e. "chudak" at the end) so it's probably something close and slavic. I'll try google translate tinkering with it later.

It's Slovakian, assuming that it's same language the character page says Viktor curses in.
Also, I don't believe the Valentines got posted.

Yeah, that's a Slavic language and definitely not anything from Scandinavian area. Has it ever been mentioned where she's supposedly from?

Wellll then. Google recognizes it as Slovak, but fails to translate some of the words. However further search on the problem words show that they're actually Czech. That gets generally better results, buut still leaves the very last sentence badly translated while Slovak translation had it nailed.
So she's probably speaking some dialectical mix. Overall old lady's dialogue adds up to

Well, poor kneecapped Viktor is both sad and tall.
Rocky's Valentine card is my favorite.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Sad and tall is an apt description. Also, of Cucumber Quest's Nightmare Knight, now that I think about it.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Does Rocky seem more evil all of a sudden?
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Unsure if more Evil or more Unhinged. Also unsure which is worse.
Hey, maybe the knocked on the head pushed him all the way over.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Let's see, he's grinning maniacally, jabbering on and on, and avoiding any discussion of the awful shit that happened to him. Seems like the old familiar Rocky to me.
Yes, but he's really broken the dial, this time. :/
Finally, there is a reason for a break, since Volume 2 is finished.
My angry rant blog!I have a feeling Rocky might be the one to die I dunno just a guess.
Eyy LmaoDiscovered this last week, read it all in approx. three days, rereading now and commenting.
"And by all accounts, Atlas is an opportunist." Can I add The Chessmaster (or something in that vein) to his trope page? I'm thinking of the flashbacks to his recruitment of Mordecai and Viktor. . . .
There's Wick, Viktor, and Mordecai on This page! I walked into this comic with few spoilers so I didn't recognize them the first time around. (Also I was surprised Atlas didn't turn out to be a main character.)
"Didn't you swallow enough teeth last time we talked about this?" Rocky has no visible missing teeth and this shouldn't bug me but it always does. Well, not always, because I like the way the teeth factor into his facial expressions (scary canines and whatnot). But anyway.
Damn! Durable mercerized cotton-silk blend! You know, at this point I thought Rocky would end up being a cliche "mouthy skinny conman-type guy whom all viewers are expected to love and be wholeheartedly amused by" (I guess my life is still somewhat unruined, because I can't think of a tropey description for that). I get less persnickety about characterization in a cartoon or comic than in a book - I guess because there's awesome art to distract myself by - so I wasn't complaining. But man, I didn't know what was coming.
Ivy crawling all over Viktor like a five-year-old and a grandfather. Well frick, hello nostalgia. You know who will probably not be on my list of least favorite characters? (Incidentally, there's several brilliant things on this page and the previous one - character exposition for Mitzi and Viktor, Rocky's theory about the singular-ocular glare beam - not just I&V cuteness.)

Clearly Rocky didn't swallow his own teeth. Or maybe they just grow back like a shark's.
Shark teeth: that's probably it.
"Old man river!" I so much value this page. I always like scenes where you get to relax and just watch some characters being in-character. And it turns out Rocky is a spontaneous singer, and spontaneous singers are the coolest people. (Of course he's not actually singing, but on the first read I thought this was a poem or song "from the real world". It needs a tune. Or maybe not - just reading it aloud is tempting enough I have to restrain myself.)
SWEET JUSTICE! And motor oil and gasoline. Rocky's plan is far more obvious in hindsight. . . . Calvin's age isn't.
Well, I'll be damned. I missed the barn completely. I can't tell from his expression whether he's actually surprised at all. And that is unnerving. ("Are you questioning my logic?" continues to look very meme-able, though.)
"I was counting how many laws we broke." Really, Calvin? My set of thoughts would have been more like: "OH DANG IT DID WE JUST BURN DOWN SOMEONE'S HOUSE? Are they like . . . going to camp out? Am I obligated to like offer them my house for the night or something?" But of course the thing about great minds is that they differ . . .
And Calvin joins in Rocky's laugh and I should have noticed on my first read how entirely devoid of any smile that laugh is.
(Rocky's face when he tells Freckle he's earned a sandwich is . . . slightly adorable? Okay, he's a cat but . . . gosh, what situations you pick to be adorable in.)
http://www.lackadaisycats.com/comic.php?comicid=23 Who else loves the sequence of facial expressions in the "Pancakes." "But -" "Pancakes." "But -" "PANCAKES." conversation? (And "I nearly singed my eyebrows off. And Freckle here watched for pigs." It might have been here that I realized Freckle is his honest official Nickname, starting with a capital, rather than just something Rocky calls him, like "sunshine" on the page where he's mowing.)
Well, Rocky is plucky comic relief. He's also pretty fucked up.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Rocky always reminded me of Graham Spector, even more so after his head injury - capriciously philosophical, dangerously unpredictable, and never ever shuts up.
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeablehello thread. finally marathoned this whole thing up the most recent page. solid writing, cool characters, and art that's more gorgeous than it needed to be.
i also agree with the concerns for Rocky's mental state.he's somehow looking and acting even crazier than usual.
also, since i have Selfridge still fresh in my head, Wick's voice is Jeremy Piven.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. It's a two-pager, the link goes to the first new page.
Well that was an interesting conversation. But I guess symmetry is important.
Dreamkeepers Prelude, check it out!
Well that's not Russian.
