Had a dream that someone from Glasslamp Europa ended up in a Modern Day Comic Book universe and was chatting up that universe's version of Klaus and Gil Wulfenbach. This guy was informing them that the way assassins of Europa proved themselves was by trying to assassinated Klaus by disguising themselves as mimes and using a specific act to trick him into going to sleep. AU Klaus was incredulous but then concluded that it must be something perpetuated by bored nobility.
The guy also told them he was trying to get back to the Heterodynes and he sought them out because everyone knew the best why to find Heterodynes was through the Wulfenbachs. AU Klaus also came to the dismayed realization that his alternate self must be the Emperor of Europa.
All of these people gathering together might encourage the Mad Science equivalent of an atomic bomb attack.
EDIT: Or no, even better, someone tries to sabotage Agatha's effort so it actually expands the time-stoppage.

Food, fighting, and...

Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. This really is a fantasy world if English food is actually good in this setting.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Ever been to the UK? I found the food there on a couple of trips to be very satisfactory—and this from someone who managed to once eat a unimpressive meal in a very posh restaurant in Paris!

If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!... Is Seffie ... snuggling Collette's coat in the second panel?
Also, it amuses me that this is spontaneously (or possibly not so spontaneously) turning into a girls' night and/or slumber party.
There's going to be some sort of hitch in these plans, maybe someone managed to poison or drug some of this food they are all scarfing down.

We all need a breather every now and then.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Moments of calm are rare in the company of Sparks, even in peaceful times.
And these aren't peaceful times.
Disgusted, but not surprisedLet's not forget about that missing Jaegergeneral ....
Nope, it's not him. Though I bet we learn what happened to him before this is over.
And well done, Foglios. Never would have predicted who it actually is.
The way the initially gung-ho fighters, including Bang and Zeetha, immediately turn tail and run after seeing who is actually there really gets across how bad the Dreen are.
Disgusted, but not surprised[1] We knew they were bound to show up sooner or later.

If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!And there's gonna be our first No-Sell. I believe that means DeMarquis technically wins our bet next Friday.

That said, given that the Dreen are explicitly Clock Roaches I feel like them being immune or at least resistant to time-fuckery is kind of a given. Doesn't really feel like a nerf.

Kickstarter obligations are kicking them in the start, so enjoy this beef and cheese cake pinup instead.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. The Dreen seem to be higher-dimensional beings anyway, so Time is explicitly non-linear to them.
I now wonder how Karl would interact with them, especially now that he's been "anchored" to the GG "present".
Zap. I almost predicted that the Star would kill them, but not this. That said, I'm actually sort of disappointed by this twist. It would have been more interesting to keep the Dreen as fundamentally weird and alien.
So I guess the Dreen had a more severe case of being out of sync with time like the Boilerghast, and being zapped with the device put them in sync.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIf the Dreen turn out to be some Time Abyss jaegers, I swear...

Nah, we've seen what happens to Jaegers who get stuck in time and aged drastically. Remember Vole?
Disgusted, but not surprisedYeah, it got weird, and that was just a few centuries. Who knows how weird it gets after a few millennia.
Not weird just bigger. A lot bigger. And more animalistic and hairy.
Now that I think about it, all that might have happened was that the Star simply removed the robes.

Disgusted, but not surprisedNo, they definitely changed in some way, going by the second and third one's reactions. Their arms now have different proportions to the rest of their bodies, the only constant is elongated fingers.
