  • Awesome Art: The anime's ending is simply gorgeous, incorporating pastel tones with visuals that emulate the original light novel's illustrations.
  • Awesome Music:
    • "Mahi" by Yama is a confident, brassy tune that has some incredible vocals and a fun instrumental, all set to some incredible visuals. Its lyrics are just as inspiring, telling an encouraging story about going forward despite the setbacks of the past - one of the major themes of the series.
    • "Undulation" by Sōshi Sakiyama is a complex, reflective piece whose lyrics parallel the story of Haijima and Kuroba's, complimenting the more downbeat tone of the series.
  • Friendly Fandoms: Many Haikyuu!! fans support the anime adaptation, not only for the volleyball element, but also the character focus and darker themes. For added bonus, both leads were voiced by Bryson Baugus in the English dub.
  • Ho Yay: The constant blushing between Haijima and Yuni whenever they are around each other in the anime, along with the Childhood Friends backstory and reliance on each other in-game, has made many interpret their moments as this.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • "Tsukishima jumped ship and decided to make his own anime." Explanation
    • The constant blushing between the characters has made many joke that 2.43 is a BL drama that's disguising as a sports anime.
