• Retroactive Recognition:
  • The directors of the music video, Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, are a husband-and-wife director team who were already well-known for music videos (at that point, their best-known works were with Extreme for "More Than Words" and "Whole Hearted"), and would later direct the 2006 film Little Miss Sunshine.
  • As for the stars of the film in the music video, the guy of the pair is none other than SpongeBob. The girl is Karen Plankton. (Tom Kenny and Jill Talley are married, as well.)
    • In addition to their work with Mr. Show, Kenny had already done voice work with Nickelodeon, playing Heffer on Rocko's Modern Life and Dog on CatDog.
