• Harsher in Hindsight: The Fat Controller telling Henry that they'll have to send him away and get a new engine instead of him. Come Season 22, Henry, while not sent away from the railway, gets replaced in the main cast by a new yellow engine named Rebecca, along with Edward being replaced by Kenyan tank engine Nia. Mattel created Nia and Rebecca in order to satisfy the Moral Guardians who criticised the show for being sexist and misogynistic, and to close the gender gap in the seven-member main cast.
• Heartwarming Moments: The Fat Controller himself personally getting involved to find out the matter with Henry's poor steaming troubles and getting Welsh coal to remedy them. Even telling the driver not to push Henry too hard but reassuring him the big engine will need holding back instead.
