Unintentional Period Piece: There's a line saying that the villain and another man were "married in the State of Massachusetts." This line firstly implied that the Federal Government didn't recognize same-sex marriage, and secondly that only a few States recognized it. As of early 2015 the Federal Government, and over half of all States recognize it, with the Supreme Court set to take up the issue later in the year for the hold-out States, eventually deciding to make it legal in all 50 states. This line, as it turns out, places the entire movie during a historically VERY brief period.
