• Ensemble Dark Horse:
  • Roan O'Brien's delightfully hammy Ram Sweeney.
  • Heather Chandler, while very important, doesn't have very much screentime. She's still very popular with fans.
• Jerkass Woobie:
  • J.D.'s a murderous psychopath, but Megan Lambie's acting and the scriptwriting does a good job of making her somewhat pitiful and sympathetic, even as she threatens to murder Veronica for leaving her.
  • Veronica isn't the nicest person in the world, but she really does not deserve the shit the series throws at her. By the end, she's shed the "jerkass" part almost entirely.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Veronica and J.D. being "gal pals."
  • "How very."
• Moral Event Horizon: Episode 12 officially cements J.D. as being nonredeemable, when you find out she's planning to blow up the high school with everyone inside. Notably, at the end, even J.D. herself believes that she's beyond redemption.
• Tear Jerker:
  • Heather McNamara's whole demeanor in episode 10. She's clearly been through the wringer.
  • Martha's video suicide note. Dear God, Martha's video suicide note.
  Martha: Goodbye, Westerburg! This time...I'm not waking up.
  • Veronica looking at the comments of said suicide note. None of them are nice.
• The Woobie:
  • Martha Dunnstock. Her nickname is Martha Dumptruck.
  • As of episode 10, Heather McNamara.
