• Esoteric Happy Ending: Homer and Marge might be back on good terms again, but it's mentioned that he invested all their life savings into setting up Lurleen's career. Unless said life savings were small enough to be covered by the $50 that he sells Lurleen's contract for (which, in fairness, is possible given that Bart's and Lisa's college fund is often stated to only be a few dozen dollars), one can imagine that things between them quickly turned sour when Marge worked that out.
• Franchise Original Sin: The episode was controversial among the staff during production due to the logistics of having Homer manage a country singer while he's theoretically still employed at the power plant. Of course, a New Job Episode or time-consuming Get-Rich-Quick Scheme for Homer would later become a staple plotline of the show to Running Gag levels, with the show itself lampshading the fact that he's missing too much work to still be employed.
• Parody Displacement: Chances are, a lot of younger viewers don't realize Ya Hoo! is a parody of an actual country western-themed Variety Show called Hee Haw.
