- Crosses the Line Twice: The "Top Secret" forbidden tape the children watch has plenty of these. In particular, when the agent addresses the president as Sir or Ma'am (but unashamedly hopes it's "Sir", which makes them all hi-five each other in response) and when he shoots his cameraman at the end of the video to ensure no one has knowledge of it (and the man yells at him "Thanks a lot, Steve!" after he does), the children all start laughing.
- Heartwarming in Hindsight: Jokes are made about Comic Book Guy's single status, when Dr. Hibbert comments after he has a heart attack that the job of running a comic store is something he'd call "The Professional Widowmaker" except the owners are never married. Flashforward to Season 25's "Married to the Blob" and Comic Book Guy does end up Happily Married.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: One of the movies in Comic Book Guy's collection is Godfather III — Good Version. In 2020, Francis Ford Coppola released a recut of The Godfather Part III titled The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone, which proved to be better-received than the original release.
