YMMV / The Patrick Star Show: S1E22: "Dad's Stache Stash" / "A Root Galoot"

• Hilarious in Hindsight: In "A Root Galoot", Bunny wants to use her wish to get superpowers. Next season, in "Super Stars", she, along with the rest of the family, actually do become superheroes.
• The Scrappy: "A Root Galoot" is usually considered one of the weaker episodes of the new crew run precisely because of Shmandrake. He has a grating voice and spends the entire episode being an Ungrateful Bastard and manipulating the family into taking care of him for a wish he has no intention of providing. Even at the end, his comeuppance is entirely accidental and he technically gets away with it through a self-imposed Reset Button.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Patrick's antics in the stache stash are easily the funniest part of the episode, with a Hurricane of Puns and a rapidfire Costume-Test Montage. It can be a disappointment when the episode takes an abrupt Halfway Plot Switch and the stache stash is never even mentioned again after that point, with the second half being a lot slower paced and bogged down by unnecessary meta humor.
• Woolseyism: Since the Rhyming Title doesn't carry over to Russian, the dub gave "A Root Galoot" a different Pun-Based Title: "The Root of the Problem".
