- Informed Wrongness: "Save the Date" expects us to believe that Lincoln is entirely at fault for making Ronnie Anne cry with his insults and has to make up with her. The writing totally disregards the fact that Ronnie Anne isn't completely innocent either, as the bullying she subjects him to is what contributed to Lincoln's initial low opinion of her, plus the nonstop teasing from his classmates drove him to insult her twice so they'd get off his back. Not helping is that neither Lori or Bobby heard Lincoln's side of the story.
- Ron the Death Eater:
- A few fans don't like how Bobby reacted to Lincoln publicly, if not exactly spitefully, insulting Ronnie Anne in "Save the Date." Some even go so far as to view Bobby as an Insufferable Imbecile because of this episode, even claiming that any positive moments he has with Lori in episodes after "Save the Date" are completely insignificant in comparison to his breakup with Lori. Never mind that in the episode Bobby regretted having to break up with Lori twice and him doing so seemed to be a case of Honor Before Reason.
- Worse still are those who hate Ronnie Anne even in this episode, saying that she brought Lincoln's insults upon herself for picking on him, demonizing her as a one-note bully, and even refusing to acknowledge any character growth she had in episodes after "Save the Date."
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: On a rather more understandable note, many fans don't like how Lori took out her anger and frustration on Lincoln and forced him to go on a double date with Bobby and Ronnie Anne.
