- Bile Fascination: Thanks to Defunctland and other YouTube channels about theme parks, more and more people have taken a look at this ride to understand why it was such a flop upon its debut.
- Unintentional Period Piece: When the ride opened, a lot of the celebrities at the time were actors who were under the Disney label and had shows on ABC (Drew Carey, Tim Allen, Whoopi Goldberg, Regis Philbin, etc.), most of whom even at the time only had minor popularity with the youth and likely the appeal would just sail over their heads. Even if the ride had succeeded, it would mean the park would have replace the animatronics every few years with other celebrities since their popularity wouldn't last forever.
- Unintentional Uncanny Valley: The mannequins and puppets were creepy enough in their original forms. To ramp this up, most of the animatronics were recycled and redressed as various monsters for its successor Monsters, Inc.: Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! It certainly makes the figures of the new ride more unsettling with that knowledge in mind.
