Regis Francis Xavier Philbin (August 25, 1931 – July 24, 2020) was an American actor, singer and media personality known for hosting talk and game shows with his trademark energy, wit, ad-libs and New York accent. First co-starring on The Joey Bishop Show (the talk show) in 1967, he was best known for co-hosting the talk show Livenote and for hosting the first American primetime version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
He holds the Guinness World Record for the most hours on American television.
