  • Best Level Ever: "Chaser" in Ignition, where you drive a Ferrari expy at high speeds through San Francisco as an attack helicopter fires missiles at you.
  • Sequel Difficulty Drop: It's still far from a cakewalk, but Ignition is much more forgiving than the original. The main difference is that the player is able to make a lot more mistakes and still finish the level, though the less perfect your run, the less stars you have, and high amount of stars are required to unlock the second half of the game's content.
  • Surprisingly Improved Sequel: Compared to the first game's horrendous paper physics, high difficulty aided by very strict limits, blocky graphics and incredibly annoying director, the sequel improves everything drastically so to lessen the frustration factor much more so.
  • Suspiciously Similar Song: The background music for the Indiana Jones Homage movie in the original game takes several well known themes from John Williams' score, mashes them together and files the serial numbers off.
  • That One Level:
    • "Hunted by Microlites" from the first game. 80% of the people who played it usually give up around this point due to its absurd amount of demands. This Let's Play explains it in better detail, and it doesn't help that both the snowmobile and the microlites give off an overt sound that covers up nearly everything else you can hear.
TyrantSabre: "That's.....a sound calculated to make you go insane."
    • "Panzer Attack"; not so much the scene as a whole but the very last stunt. Even with most of the scene memorised to the point of ease, this one particular stunt has frustrated many a player aiming for 100% Completion due to its incredibly precise timing (and by that, we mean exiting the vehicle just as the two front wheels enter the yellow zone).
    • The final movie in the original game as well. It took the player of the LP linked above eight hours' worth of attempts to complete the second mission. At about the fourth hour mark something...unfortunate happens to TyrantSabre's mind.
    • Ignition has "Escape", the final scene from the first movie. You are given a fire chief's car with some of the worst characteristics a vehicle can have. It has slippery handling so you'll end up fighting the car on every corner yet it also has sluggish acceleration so you'll struggle to get back up to speed to maintain your string. The scene is also one of the longest in the game meaning that there are many opportunities to mess up. Expect a lot of hair pulling if you're going for the 5 stars. The final scenes in the later movies will feel like a breeze in comparison.
    • Also from Ignition is "Base Brawl". This scene has you chase an enemy spy through a military base. The first part of the scene isn't too bad aside from a tricky two wheel stunt in order to dodge a missile. However, the difficulty ramps up once you actually get inside the base. There are very few objects to get close to in order to maintain your string. But the part that takes the cake here is an even harder two wheel stunt across a beam that straddles a hole in the floor. This stunt is not skippable. If you're off by even an inch, or try to bypass the stunt entirely, you fall into the hole and have to start the whole scene over again. Adding salt to the wound, this stunt is right after a sharp turn, making it difficult to line yourself up or gain enough speed to make it across.
