Episodes 5-11 are referred to as C³-bu: The Line. Someone clearly saw the similarities and made a video crossing over footage from C³ and audio from SO:TL, with Yura as Walker, Choujirou as Konrad and the rest of C³ as the squadmates.
Yura when she's just having fun and nothing else: "Fun Mode".
Yura's bad rep during the aforementioned C³-bu: The Line earns her the nick "Yura Walker".
When Yachiyo puts on her hood, she's the Little Red Sniping Hood.
Hilarious in Hindsight: The Captain Price cosplayer in episode 8 is seen wielding an airsoft version of the H&K MP7. While the MP7 is featured as a usable weapon in the original Modern Warfare trilogy, being introduced in Modern Warfare 3, Price always uses an M4A1 or similar. In the reboot, however, Price picks up an MP7 from a fallen enemy during the mission Old Comrades and uses it for the remainder of the mission, though he and the player character are in civvies rather than fatigues. Doubling the hilarity is that the in-game MP7 is not based on a real steel MP7 but rather an airsoft one.
They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: If the sales figure is any indication, the anime adaptation doesn't seem to be very well liked. Believe us, the manga is nowhere close to being Spec Ops: The Line.
