• Adaptation Displacement: It is safe to say that both the Chilean and Mexican Colorinas were overshadowed by this adaptation's success.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Salomé and Karicia being best friends in the telenovela leaves a sour taste looking now that Karicia's actress Niurka Marcos openly had a one-sided feud with Salomé's actress Edith González after the telenovela ended.^note This especially considering an incident immediately after González's death when, after González was declared the best perfomer in Aventurera (a musical that both González and Marcos starred in at different points), Marcos vociferously claimed that she was the best perfomer in the history of the musical, which resulted in backlash due to Marcos doing so so shortly after González's death.
  • The whole storyline about Ángela slowly dying from a terminal illness is near impossible to watch now after Salomé's actress Edith González passed away from ovarian cancer in June 2019 after a long battle with the illness.
  • Likewise, there was a storyline about Julio raising Karla, the daughter of his friend Laura, after Laura died in an airplane accident. Laura is played by Katie Barberi, who in real life was a close friend of González, and who was among the people González charged with taking care of her only daughter after her death, who was 14 at the time.
