• Aluminum Christmas Trees: The 2024 Pokemon Sleep Champion Tournament is an April Fool's joke, but there's a real napping competition held annually in Madrid.
• Funny Moments: While gameplay is limited here, there are still a few funny moments in the game:
  • Dodrio's "Lazy Lookout Sleep" style has the middle head sleeping and the other two heads glaring at the middle head in annoyance.
  • Nearly every Pokémon has an "Atop Belly Sleep" style. This can be pretty humorous with larger Pokémon laying on top of Snorlax.
• LGBT Fanbase: Professor Neroli became a hit with bara fans the very moment the game was announced. This is because his rather cuddly and chubby appearance, which ticks off the boxes for what many gay men find attractive. Fans joke that they don't want to go to bed, they want to go to bed with him.
• Scrappy Mechanic:
  • There's a random chance that a Pokémon you're feeding in an attempt to befriend will suddenly become full and will no longer eat any more biscuits for that session. There's nothing indicating that a Pokémon will become full and it can happen right when you're one biscuit away from befriending it, forcing you to wait until the next research session and hoping it'll show up again.
  • Certain Pokémon appear based on your sleep style. Most people cannot control how they sleep, so getting a certain sleep style multiple times in a row can make it difficult or outright impossible to find the Pokémon you want to befriend. Thankfully, there are events in game that may sometimes let all kinds of Pokémon appear at your camp regardless of your sleep style.
• Self-Fanservice: Again, Professor Neroli. In fact, most image search results will instantly yield you Rule 34 of him.
• Sweet Dreams Fuel: The main concept is that you fall asleep and record your sessions with the app on. The way you acquire new Pokémon is by completing a sleep session and you feed it biscuits in order to befriend it. Not to mention you get to see various ways that Pokémon sleep, and one of the relaxing music that you can play while sleeping is a lullaby remix of the Pokémon Center theme.
