• Faux Symbolism: The alien story in the music video is occasionally swapped with DJ Crazy Times and Biljana dancing in heaven as an angel and Mary mother of Jesus. Does it mean anything? Nope!
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Women are my favorite guy.^Explanation A line from the song that became particularly popular among listeners thanks to its bizarre wording which recalls bad attempts by guys at sounding respectful to women. Consequently, it became a popular subject of quotation and parody.
    • This lyric has also been paired up with the following verse "Sex! I'm wanting more. Tell the world: stop the war!" often in reference to the Friendly Fandoms between Barbie (2023) and Oppenheimer.
    • Kyle Gordon's follow-up song "Girls are the Best", a parody of late '90s/2000s "girl power" pop-country singers like Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, and The Chicks, had numerous comments quoting this exact line.
  • Comments on the video for the full length song tend to be written with a nostalgic tone, as though it were actually released in 1998. A few YouTube accounts have gone so far as to put up unofficial streams of the video but add grain, high contrast and other degraded effects to make it actually look like it was aired on late night television, recorded to VHS, then digitized and uploaded. Gordon himself later released an official version of just such a video.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: After clips were released with Biljana being played by different women (Mara Olney and Sabrina Brier), many viewers reacted negatively, preferring the Bijana from the original clip (Audrey Trullinger). Much of this was due to the new actresses coming off as rather stiff compared to the original actress’s dancing and energy. This died down when Trullinger returned as Biljana for the official music video, and the whole “replacement” situation turned out to just be a sendup of models standing in for the actual singers in Eurodance singles.
