• Awesome Music: Another Bernard Herrmann special, a majestic and haunting Oscar-nominated score (featuring a choir and a pipe organ) that at times dominates the film. In fact, one website has listed it as one of the 100 greatest film scores in history.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Geneviève Bujold would go on to play a woman who gets involved with lookalike men in Dead Ringers.
  • Let's look at the premise, shall we? A man haunted by the past for 15 years gets a second chance at life and later plots revenge against those who wronged him. Then it turns out he was tricked into having an incestuous relationship with his long-lost daughter by an old friend he doesn't realize has double-crossed him. Does this sound familiar to you?
• I Knew It!: Reviewers at the time noted that the plot twist is pretty easy to figure out.
