- Alternative Character Interpretation: The Gundam wiki posits that the bioweapon Astaroth wasn't even real, and just a ploy by Visch Donohue to draw the Federation forces to him and allow his men and other Zeon forces to retreat into space.
- Narm: Some of the dialogue is clunky and wooden at best, often with incredibly awkward metaphors. They may be meant to evoke something resembling wonder or convey the stakes of a mission, but more often than not they're just funny. The very first mission has a couple fantastic examples:Fang-3: Maybe they're the souls of all those killed in the drop. Drawn back by Earth's gravity! [...] This land here is charged with the power of hatred for the Zeon. I can feel it in my bones, too.
Fang-2 Power from the dead, is that what you're talking about? You mean the Zeon woke up a sleeping lion, don't you. Except we're dingoes, not lions. Dingoes are dogs!
