  • Accidental Innuendo: "He's a big one! Well, the harder they come..."
  • Awesome Music: Tsuyoshi Sekito's soundtrack is considered one of the very few good things about the game, aside from robotic gorillas.
  • Common Knowledge: When MindJack is mentioned a discussion, one cutscene is often brought up as a Plot Hole, where Jim claims he knows nothing about Mind Hack despite spending all previous hours doing just that. The game actually explains this in the (admittedly flimsy) plot twist, making said cutscene a forshadowing that Jim might not be the person you think he is.
  • Good Bad Translation: Despite the reports that the game's script was written by an unnamed United Kingdom production team, the English translation is frequently marred by grammatical errors and strange vocabulary (which voice actors don't try to correct), making the story often impossible to understand. However, people don't enjoy MindJack for its story but its So Bad, It's Good quality, so this only adds to the charm.

  • Just Here for Godzilla: Some people buy this game just for the Mind Jacking.
  • Paranoia Fuel: Anywhere on Earth, at any moment, you might get taken over by some perfect stranger, who can then use your body to do anything they desire. As shown in one trailer, this can include pulling a gun on a loved one with deadly intentions.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Many players and critics agree that while the concept behind the game is pretty cool, it's not really put to good use. The plot twist, that the player is a separate entity controlling the protagonist while interesting, is so poorly executed that the hints towards it just come off as an idiotic case of Gameplay and Story Segregation.
