YMMV / Mavka: The Forest Song

• Complete Monster: Kylina is a vain sawmill owner who seeks the source of life within an enchanted forest to obtain eternal youth. Many years ago, Kylina's greed led her to order her husband to wage war on the forest's inhabitants, leading to the devastation of the forest and human village while Kylina fled with a drop from the Tree of Life. In the present, Kylina returns for the source, convincing the villagers that the forest dwellers are evil and must be wiped out in order to aid her plans. Tricking Lukas into giving up the Tree's location before leaving him to drown, Kylina leads the misguided villagers in raiding and destroying the forest. Even as Mavka tries to make peace and tells her that taking the source will kill the forest, Kylina rejects any attempt at peace, even lying to Mavka that Lukas betrayed her to shatter her lingering faith in humanity.
• Fashion-Victim Villain: Frol looks rather... flamboyant with his purple jacket and assorted purple bangs that stick out like sore thumbs in a rural village where everyone wears vyshyvankas, not to mention his fox skin scarf. From the look of it, this was intentional considering how vain and buffoonish he is.
