YMMV / LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales

• Magnificent Bastard: Vanee is Darth Vader's former assistant, who schemes to become a Dark Lord himself. He resides in Vader's castle, waiting for someone who can open a Sith tomb. Setting his sights on newly arrived Poe Dameron, Vanee lures Poe and young Dean further into the castle while telling them scary stories. Eventually realising he actually needs Dean, Vanee manipulates the boy into opening the tomb and the Sith artifact they find there. Vanee takes the artifact for himself and uses it to create lightsaber-wielding mecha before activating a droid army, ready to bring new terror into the galaxy.
• Unexpected Character:
  • Vaneé was a surprising inclusion, given he was an elderly man in the Original Trilogy and this special takes place over thirty years later. On the other hand, LEGO is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be… unnatural.
  • Ren, since he neither has a LEGO minifigure nor was it ever expected that Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren would be referenced in such a major way, much less adapted to the screen and voiced by Christian Slater.
  • While he didn't make a physical appearance, no one was expecting the mention of General Grevious's former identity Qymaen Jai Sheelal.
