- Crosses the Line Twice: In the first "Survivor" episode, by sheer coincidence, the randomly-chosen teams end up with all the white contestants on one team, and all the BIPOC contestants on the other. A few contestants lampshade how unfortunate the optics are, while Grant promptly turns to his teammates and says, "Let's do this for white people!" Unsurprisingly, this teammates immediately ask if they can kick Grant off, and then refuse to let him suggest a team name.
- Harsher in Hindsight: In Sam Says (filmed in 2021), Brennan reacts to his Sam Says prompt by coughing loudly and all around Sam Reich. In 2023, Sam would contract long COVID.
- Heartwarming in Hindsight: In 2019, on the very first episode of Game Changer, Izzy reveals that Brennan's greatest dream is to be a dad, and five years later, on a Fireside Chat for Worlds Beyond Numbernote he revealed that he and Izzy, who he had since married in 2023, had welcomed the birth of their first child.
- Memetic Mutation:
- The way Sam puts his players in unexpected situations with no idea what to expect is often jokingly likened to Jigsaw's modus operandi.
- GIF's of Brennan Lee Mulligan going "I will die on any hill!" are often used for people who have very strong opinions about extremely niche subjects.
- Nightmare Fuel: "Deja Vu" gets surprisingly really, really creepy, especially in the back half of the episode. Between Roscoe the Monster Clown, the time loop that changes ever-so-slightly every time, the weird glitching and inserts as the intro plays, and the overall uncanny and borderline surreal nature of the episode, many viewers have compared the episode to an Analog Horror flick.
- Signature Scene: Brennan's Rage Breaking Point and subsequent rant in "Yes or No" is the most shared and quoted moment of the series.
