From the full title (Dr. Dude and His Excellent Ray) that sounds like it came out of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure; to the game's premise being about a formerly uncool nerd who was into computers who built a device that could make him cooler, one of the components being The Power of Rock; to this game's fascination with strange technology that can impart weird effects onto people; with Dr. Dude himself sporting modified Triangle Shades, huge '80s Hair, a leopard-print jacket, and Ninja Turtle speech; to the table itself covered in 80's slang and the decade's characteristic bright geometric shapes.
