YMMV / Doctor Who S38E9 "Ascension of the Cybermen"

• Captain Obvious Reveal: Graham, Yaz and the refugees find themselves onboard a powered-down Cyber-carrier. To no one's surprise but theirs, it turns out to be carrying a full load of Cybermen.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Brendan became a meme more or less the second the episode finished, due to his scenes' apparent incongruity with the rest of the episode, with many viewers jokingly(?) professing to be more concerned with him than the regulars.
  • "But that which is dead can live again! In the hands of a believer!"^note cue the Monkees
• Narm: The TIE fighter-esque noises from the Cyber-Drones make them seem rather silly.
• Narm Charm: Then again, they do manage to destroy every single one of the Doctor's defences and reduce her to panicked shouting, so it's clear they're deadly, even if they are rather silly.
• Special Effect Failure: The first shot of the flying Cyberman heads makes them look like two-dimensional sprites.
