YMMV / Doctor Who S29 E1 "Smith and Jones"

• Complete Monster: The Plasmavore taking the identity "Florence Finnegan" is a sadistic fugitive wanted for the murder of the "Child Princess" of a distant world—a crime she took immense pleasure in. When the Judoon isolate the hospital she's hiding in, Florence kills a doctor by forcibly drinking his blood, to allow her to assimilate his DNA and blend in with the humans. To escape her predicament, Florence sets up MRI equipment to blast out a wave that will kill everyone within the hospital and half of all life on Earth, remarking that the surviving half is her "little gift". Even when facing her impending execution, Florence activates the MRI device, attempting to doom billions of lives out of petty spite.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The Doctor absorbs high levels of radiation. When Martha asks if that's likely to kill him, he light-heartedly replies "Nah, it's only Roentgen radiation. We used to play with Roentgen bricks in the nursery". Ironic and sad seeing given what regenerated (killed) the Tenth Doctor in the end.
• Narm:
  • We see these fearsome creatures marching in... that look like giant rhinos in leather. And it gets better: When the Judoon first speaks, it sounds like a first grader rhyming things with "oh".
  • Becomes Accidental Innuendo in "The Stolen Earth" when the Doctor says "Ma' ho" in the presence of Donna. And the Doctor said he didn't want to mate with her...
  • Florence, the Plasmavore, sucking blood... with a straw.
• What Do You Mean, It's Not Symbolic?: The barefoot Doctor, having just been resurrected, carrying Martha Jones in his arms through a hospital as it starts raining. That must mean something, but sodomy non sapiens.
