- Fandom Rivalry: Many fans feel Garbage's success is due in large part to them co-opting Curve's angry, industrial sound, considering Curve had released three very successful EPs and an album before Garbage even formed.

- Both Halliday and Garcia's opinions of Garbage's later albums that they posted on their website were less than kind.
