• Executive Meddling: An example that thankfully ended positively. Despite Come Clean being their breakthrough album, Universal got cold feet about Curve's follow-up, Gift, and refused to release it, much to the duo's chagrin. In response, the band self-released a compilation of soundtrack and unreleased songs on the Internet; it sold very well, resulting in Universal relenting and issuing the album. Unsurprisingly, the band left the company after it was released.
