  • Complete Monster:
    • Vol. 1 issues #1-5—"Coward": Delron Krumsky is the psychopathic lieutenant for a drug kingpin. After getting freed from prison in order to track down a load of heroin that the protagonists, Leo Patterson and Greta Watson, had inadvertently stolen from an evidence van, Delron murdered the latter's elderly mother and took her daughter as leverage. After tracking Greta down, Delron tortured her for the location of the heroin by driving nails into her palms, and eventually killed her in spite of his partner's attempts to stop him. When Leo finds him at a motel with Greta's daughter, we learn that Delron was planning to sell the little girl to Russian slavers. Upon discovering Leo, Delron naturally tries to beat him to death before getting killed himself.
    • Vol. 2 issue #1—"Second Chance in Hell": Walter Hyde is the abusive father of Sebastian, who paved the way for the ruthless Hyde crime empire of the modern day. Walter swayed fellow enforcer Clevon Brown into helping him launch a bloody coup against their mob superiors, leading to multiple deaths across the city. Then establishing his own cruel, domineering control over the city with routine beating, extortion, and murder of innocent people, Walter mistreats and moulds his son Sebastian into a brutal mobster just like his dad. In the culmination of his abuse, Walter responds to the news that Sebastian has fallen in love with and impregnated the Black woman Danica Briggs by ordering her kidnapped, her baby forcefully aborted, and her womb rendered bloody and barren, out of nothing but racism and a desire to harden Sebastian.
  • Magnificent Bastard:
    • Lawless & The Sinners: Tracy Lawless is a stoic, ruthless man who escaped his abusive father by joining the military, where Tracy quickly established himself as a proficient soldier. Tracy pulled off seemingly impossible missions, wiping out dozens of enemies on his lonesome and even killing fellow soldiers when they crossed lines he despised. Escaping the military and returning to the city to find his brother's killer, Tracy manipulates his way into his brother's old gang and slowly picks them off one by one to single out the killer; Tracy winds up forgiving the act when he learns his brother was murdered for being an abuser. Becoming a hired gun for Sebastian Hyde, Tracy uncovers the vigilante killers behind a string of monster deaths and pulls their strings to bump off Hyde himself before exposing the vigilantes to Hyde's forces, wiping out all his enemies in one fell swoop.
    • The Last of the Innocent: Riley Richards is a complex, depressed man who tires of the direction his life has taken, and so initiates a clever plot to change his fate. Riley concocts an unshakeable alibi and murders his unfaithful wife and successfully frames her lover, Teddy, as the killer, getting the man locked up in Riley's stead. Riley then uses his wife's inheritance to sell out his part of her father's company to a rival, screwing over his father-in-law as punishment for the man's constant demeaning. After having Teddy killed and a confession forged to tie up loose ends, Riley skillfully evades a private investigator to avoid any real evidence tying him to his crimes, and ultimately arranges for the death of his best friend when Riley realizes he knows too much. Though shaken by the length his crimes went to, Riley ends the story having fallen in love once more and cheerfully looking forward to his new, better life of simplicity.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Delron's plans for Greta's daughter. Father Mike crosses it when he has one of his young soldiers murdered for saving Tracy Lawless.
