  • Damsel Scrappy: Meg. The only real purpose she serves is to get near-instantly captured by the villain of the week and giving Jo the motivation to actually care about taking them down.
  • Faux Symbolism: The container used to haul Django in looks disturbingly like a coffin, complete with Creepy Crosses.
  • Les Yay:
    • Meg and Jo. Even more so in the manga, where they are all but an Official Couple in a "platonic yuri relationship". Well, platonic on Jo's side maybe, but Meg really wants to be more than friends with Jo.
    • This was almost entirely cut, to the point of having Meg openly interested in handsome men in one episode from the anime. There's still quite a bit of subtext.
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: The girls treatment of Kyohei is intended to be comedic, but because we are first introduced to the heroines from his perspective, they come across as rather unlikable. Meg is rude to him for no given reason, then when he gets kidnapped because the bad guys saw him leaving their base, Jo blames him for Meg getting captured and forces Kyohei (an unarmed, untrained civilian) to help with the rescuse opperation, all the while subjecting him to verbal abuse and death threats. At the end of the second episode, he leaves them some food and a note of appology (despite being the victim in all this), but Sei decides to continue getting him involved with their dangerous line of work, just because they all like his cooking.
