- Broken Base: The fic's treatment of Vegeta. Some think it's a huge disservice to one of the most emblematic characters of the series, while others are okay with him being pushed into the background to make room for the story's new elements (the most obvious being Raditz).
- Crack Pairing: Zarbon and Bulma, Raditz and Launch.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: The author being a fan of Dragon Ball Z Abridged is hilarious when MasakoX, who voices Goku in that series, makes his What If Raditz Turned Good? series of videos, which not only obviously has a similar "What If?" premise, but also has one other major plot element shared - Raditz and Launch becoming an Official Couple and having a daughter.
- Tear Jerker: Bulma's death at the hands of Cell was particularly heart wrenching.
