• Viewer Gender Confusion: Based on the fact that she only has three tail puffs, the Bidoof in this short is female, but many viewers don’t notice. In all fairness, this is likely because the sexual dimorphism of Bidoof isn’t particularly noticeable at first glance.
• The Woobie: Bidoof is shown throughout the short to not be well-liked by the other Bidoof, she gets attacked by a Staraptor and even when a Trainer decides to capture her, she's stuck as an HM Slave and is never allowed to fight or get a chance to show that she's part of the team. Thankfully, she finally gets her moment of glory in a tournament when she fights the opponent's Staraptor, despite her fear of them, and earns that well-deserved high five.
