• Catharsis Factor:
  • While he only agrees to help the Hero Party when Mina notes that the fate of the world depended on them navigating the Lost Forest, it is refreshing that Rein vehemently declines to assist them breaking their presumption he'd be begging to rejoin them.
  • After being such a narcissistic brat, Rein gives Arios a good punch in the face when he insulted Kanade and Tania. He gives him a few more punches during their battle.
  • Tania and Kanade not only mop the floor on Mina, Aggath, and Leanne, they completely cast blows to their egos by proving just why they were known as the ultimate species.
  • After mistreating the people of Horizon and flat out refusing to protect them from a demon attack, it's satisfying to see the entire city stand up against Arios and his party and kick them out.
• Complete Monster: Edgar Fromware is the sociopathic son of the Lord of the Horizon who believes the title enables him to do whatever he wants. Once a month, Edgar kidnaps a woman from the village, threatens to execute the citizens should he be denied, and tortures and abuses them to his heart's content. Upon learning of an ultimate species named Nina, Edgar threatens to kill children to get her compliance and enslaves her with an enchanted collar designed to prevent her from accessing her godlike powers. Regularly beating her to sate his perversions, Edgar tries to make Sora and Runa his new slaves, only to side with Arios Orlando when Rein Shroud opposes him. Failing to kill Rein, Edgar becomes possessed by the demon within his ring and goes on a rampage.
• Moral Event Horizon:
  • Arios sinks to a new low when he tries to kill Rein just for defeating him and making him apologize for his past behavior. Made worse when his scheme results in collateral damage towards the people he's supposed to protect.
  • Edgar Fromware himself crossed it years ago when he threatened to slaughter the village Nina previously lived in, including the children, should Nina refuse to become his slave.
